Dear TCU Le Center Families

Spring is in the air, and as the school year begins its final stretch, I want to take a moment to thank you for your ongoing support and involvement. April is a crucial time for our students, and together, we can help them finish the year strong—both in academics and in attendance.

This month marks the start of important academic assessments across all grade levels. These assessments are a chance for students to demonstrate everything they’ve learned and achieved throughout the year. Encouraging your child to do their best, get a good night’s sleep, and arrive on time can make a big difference in their confidence and performance.

Equally important is maintaining consistent attendance. Every day counts, and each moment of instruction helps build the skills and knowledge our students need to succeed. Let’s work together to ensure our students are present, engaged, and supported every step of the way.

We are so proud of the hard work and growth we’ve seen in our students this year. Let’s keep the momentum going and finish the year on a high note!

Thank you for all that you do. If you have any questions or need support, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Sincerely,

Mr. Jeff Eppen, Principal

4TH QUARTER ATTENDANCE CHALLENGE 4TH QUARTER ATTENDANCE CHALLENGE

zoom_out_map

One of the areas this year that we have seen a decline in our data is with student attendance. Now, we are aware that this winter included some major bouts of illness due to things that were circulating around the community. However, our attendance rates are still down outside of these events. Our PTO is partnering with our PBIS Team to help us see what we can do!

Here is the deal:

Titans who are absent 2 or less total days for from April 7th until the end of the year will be entered into a drawing for some great prizes! All absences MUST be excused and must total 2 days or less! For example, someone who is absent 4 days but each time its for only 1/2 the day will still be eligible!

BIG THANK YOU to our PTO for providing SEVERAL prizes for each grade level to help us encourage positive attendance and to end the year on a great note!

EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH

We’re excited to announce that Lauren Sylvester, 2nd grade teacher at TCU Le Center, has been selected as TCU’s Employee of the Month!

Lauren’s hard work, dedication, and positive impact have not gone unnoticed, and we are thrilled to recognize her for all she does to make TCU an incredible place.

Here’s what the nominator had to say about Lauren:

"Lauren is someone that is easy to turn to when looking for guidance and encouragement. She is always willing to offer her support when she can and come up with possible solutions/ideas. Her leadership is not only in these formal roles but also in the way she leads by example. She inspires others with her work ethic, empathy, collaboration, and positivity. She is a valuable member of the district and a great example for newer staff members."

We are TCU Proud!

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT NEEDED FOR 25-26 SCHOOL YEAR ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT NEEDED FOR 25-26 SCHOOL YEAR

zoom_out_map

We are in need of an Admin Assistant at Le Center! Ms. Sheila Schoenbauer has decided to hang it up and enjoy some time doing other things!! We are so happy for her and wish her the best as she enjoys a much more flexible schedule! We have appreciated her organization, leadership, communication, and professional dedication to TCU Le Center for 9 years!!! We will all miss her very much!

With that said, we need to find the next great person on our Office Admin Team! If you know anyone or you are interested in hearing more about this position please reach out to jeppen@tcu2905.us. This position takes good computer skills, organization, problem solving, quality communication, and the ability to make sure the principal gets his stuff done!!!

The hours are typically around 7:15-3:15 and the contract is on a 10 month schedule. The position works for about 10 more days after the teachers/kids leave in the summer and then is off until about 2 weeks before teachers return. So, essentially the person gets about 1/2 of June, all of July, and about 1/2 of August off.

MORNING DROP OFF MORNING DROP OFF

zoom_out_map

Ensuring a smooth and safe drop-off experience for all families is one of our priorities. To improve efficiency during morning drop-off, we would like to remind you of some important guidelines.

Drop-Off Procedure Updates:

  • Unload along the yellow curb: Once your vehicle stops anywhere along the yellow curb, your student should exit the vehicle. There is no need to wait until your car is directly in front of the main entrance. This allows the line to move steadily for everyone.
  • Adults- stay in your vehicle: To keep the process moving efficiently, we kindly ask that parents and guardians remain in their vehicles at all times.
  • Need extra time? If your student requires additional assistance from you, please park in a designated parking spot and walk them to the curb when you are ready!

Following these procedures will help ensure a quicker and smoother drop-off process for everyone, while maintaining safety for our students. We greatly appreciate your cooperation and commitment to making mornings run more smoothly. If you have any questions or concerns about these procedures, please feel free to contact the school office.

Thank you for your support in keeping our drop-off routine safe and efficient!
