Rogers Beat
Week of November 2nd, 2026
Rogers Families,
It’s hard to believe we’re already turning the calendar to November. Thank you to everyone who helped make Red Ribbon Week such a success last week. Our counselors did an amazing job preparing lessons, and our students had fun showing their school spirit while learning about making safe, healthy choices. As we kick off a new month, we’re excited for the learning, growth, and gratitude ahead. Tomorrow, Monday, November 2nd, is College Shirt Day, so encourage your student to wear a shirt from their favorite college or university!
I’m excited to announce our first Star Polishers of the year: Mrs. Stanley, Mr. Jacobs, and Mrs. Smith! Every day, they go the extra mile for our students and our school. Thanks to their care, energy, and dedication, our school is a place where kids feel supported, encouraged, and eager to learn. We’re grateful to have them with us. Let’s congratulate them and thank them for everything they do!
Congratulations also go out to our 7th and 8th grade football teams who claimed the District Championship last week! Amazing season boys!
Have a great week!
Learn Boldly. Lead Fiercely. Wildcat Pride!
Jason Jetton, Principal
Together We Cultivate
Together We Prosper
Our Rogers Volleyball program took home 3 out of 4 district titles last weekend! Our 7th grade C team beat Reynolds in 3 close sets to win, while our B team fought hard and ended up in 2nd place. Both the 8th Grade B and C teams clinched the district title beating out Rushing and Reynolds. Our A teams will compete for their district titles on Halloween when we hope to add a few more trophies and titles to our collection. We are so proud of how hard these athletes have worked this season! 💙🐾🏐🥇

Changes to Front Parking Lot After Thanksgiving
Over Thanksgiving Break, construction will move to the 6th grade hallway. To give crews access and room for materials, the front parking lot will change. These changes will stay in place until that phase of construction is finished in the spring.
- North section: This area will be reserved for construction vehicles and materials. Only construction-related vehicles may enter.
- South section: This area will now hold both visitor (spaces facing Rogers) and staff parking (spaces facing Coit), as shown on the attached map.
- Carline: Front carline drop-off and pickup will not change.
- Front entrance: The front entry to the school will stay open as usual.
- Parking in the front lot: When you turn in from Coit, stay in the left designated lane. You can reach the south lot through the opening between the north and south sections. Cones block that opening now, but they will be removed when the changes take effect.

BEST PUBLIC SCHOOLS IN TEXAS
Named by HEB's Excellence in Education Awards as the Best Large District in the State of Texas, Prosper ISD has an established 68-year history that is grounded in the humble roots of a farming community, now known for excellence in the arts, academics, and athletics. Our students and staff are routinely recognized on the local, state, and national levels for outstanding achievements, and our teachers are highly qualified experts who bring out the best in every student.
We are incredibly proud to share that Prosper ISD has officially been recognized as a Model Professional Learning Community (PLC) District by Solution Tree's Evidence of Effectiveness Committee. This is one of the most prestigious recognitions in education — and it belongs to every single person who shows up for our students every day.
This distinction is not given lightly. It is earned — through years of intentional collaboration, a relentless focus on learning, and a shared commitment to ensuring that every student in Prosper ISD has the opportunity to succeed at the highest levels.
