STUDENTS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO REPORT THEIR OWN ABSENCE FROM SCHOOL AT ANY TIME.

WHEN YOU CHILD IS GOING TO BE ABSENT FROM SCHOOL REGARDLESS OF THE REASON PARENTS SHOULD DO 1 OF THE FOLLOWING THINGS:

1. Email- hsslattendance@NYCDOE.onmicrosoft.com include your child's name and the date of the absence
2. Call - 718-564-2551 ext. 13401 to our parent coordinator to report your child's absence for the day.
3. Text - Ms. Locke or Mx. Craig via the remind app with your child's name and the date of the absence.

• Parents can inform us of their child's absence in there home language.
• If your child needs to leave early from school, please send a written note with your child to school explicitly stating the date of early departure, the time, the reason, and that you give your expressed permission for them to leave the building without accompaniment.

Monday - Red Vs. Blue: Rock your best all red or all blue outfit

Tuesday - Twin Day: Dress like your bestie

Wednesday - Mystery Object: Leave your bagpacks at home and bring item that shows who you are (school safe items only, no glass, metal, or weapons),

Thursday - Y2K/2000's: Show us your best outfit inspired by the early 2000's

Friday - Famous Athletes: Come dressed as your favorite sports celebrity or wear a Jersey.

The ice skating trip is next Friday, December 19th. I will be accepting payment and permission slips through Tuesday, December 16th.

Our annual holiday Pajama Day/Party is December 23rd. Students can see any student government member to sign up for our white elephant gift exchange. There will so be a best pajamas contest for mystery prize!

Winter Recess begins Wednesday, December 24th classes will resume Monday, January 5th for all New York City Public School Students.
