I am honored and excited to be the new Maple Elementary principal! I believe in open communication and ensuring that school is a place where students feel seen, valued, and supported. This is my 10th year as an elementary principal and l am looking forward to meeting all of our Maple students and families.
I spent from 4th-9th grade living in North Olmsted in Laurel Woods. It is exciting to return to the community where I grew up. If you ever have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call or email me! I am looking forward to a great school year!
Welcome to the 2025-2026 School Year
A new school year begins on Thursday, August 21st. We continue to prepare our building and our classrooms for an amazing school year filled with new students, new staff, and new opportunities.
You will be receiving a digital newsletter once a week. This first one is an informational one, intended to help with the start of the school year. All newsletters will be released on Sunday this upcoming school year.
As this information is being shared, it is so important that our students’ information is updated in PowerSchool. The directions to do so are included below. Once this is completed, information about your child’s teacher and bus routes will be made available through the Parent Portal account on August 13th.

Don't forget about our One Book, One Summer celebration event next Thursday, August 14th from 6:00 - 7:30 at North Olmsted High School (pavilion by the tennis courts).

Bus Riders
If your child is riding a bus, details can be found in PowerSchool by the end of the day on August 15th.
Arrival and Dismissal Procedures
Please look at the attached maps for both arrival and dismissal. We will continue with the same plan as last year with one exception; Our front walkers will be dismissed from the doors at the end of the 3rd grade hallway as noted on the map. This change will reduce congestion in front of the school and allow our bus riders to get to their busses safely. Please do not congregate around the entrance of the school.
We have a process as to when each group of students are released to ensure that all students get to their destinations safely. We especially ask for your patience during the first week of school as arrival and dismissal tends to take significantly longer than normal as everyone learns the procedures.
Meet Your Teacher /Supply Drop Off
Please join us during your scheduled time to meet your child's teacher, receive a short presentation and drop off school supplies. Thank you in advance for arriving promptly at your scheduled time and not before, allowing our first group to finish.

Last Names (A - L) - 6:00 - 6:30pm
Last Names (M - Z ) - 7:00- 7:30pm
Please be sure all school bags, lunch boxes and supplies are clearly labeled with your child's name for easy identification. The Maple PTA will be sharing membership information during this event as well, please consider joining!!
Our First Day of School
Chestnut/Maple Elementary Schools: The first day of school for students in 1st-3rd grade is Thursday, August 21st.
Our school day begins at 8:10 a.m. and ends at 2:50 p.m. Our doors open at 7:55. Students are expected to be in their seats and ready to learn at 8:10.
Once again this school year, breakfast will be free for all students. Students are able to grab their breakfast as they enter the building and will eat in their classroom.
North Olmsted Community Parade
Each year our schools participate in the annual Community Parade. Please consider joining our team to walk in the parade!
Date: Saturday, August 23rd
Time: Participants need to travel through the Middle School side of the campus, then meet in the High School parking lot at 3:30. Wear your orange and black. We will be marching to the mall this year due to construction at North Olmsted Park. Children participating in the parade must be accompanied by an adult.
