Come ready to smile, Dragons!

Progress Reports Available — October 12
Progress reports will be available in the Parent Portal beginning Monday, October 12.
Progress reports are for students who are currently working below grade-level standards in their classes.
These reports help you see how your student is doing before report cards come out. This gives you time to work with your child's teacher and help your child improve.
The first trimester ends November 10.
Please check your Parent Portal to see if your child has a progress report.
Breakfast Ends at 7:35 AM
Beginning this week, students must be inside the cafeteria by 7:35 AM to eat breakfast.
We have too many students arriving late for breakfast, which keeps the cafeteria full when class begins at 7:45 AM. This is causing students to be late to class.
If your child eats breakfast at school, please arrive a little earlier so they have enough time to eat and get to class on time.
Thank you for helping our Dragons start their day ready to learn!
After-Hours Campus Safety
For the safety of our students and our school, no one should enter the secured Dyer Kelly campus after it has closed for the day. This includes climbing or jumping over gates. There is no staff supervision after hours.
If you see someone entering the secured campus after hours, please call the non-emergency number at 916-874-5115.
Thank you for helping us keep our students and campus safe.
Hispanic Heritage Month
Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated from September 15–October 15. It is a time to celebrate the history, cultures, and contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities.
At Dyer-Kelly, we celebrate the many cultures and backgrounds that make our school community strong. Everyone belongs at Dyer-Kelly!

Principal's Message
Dear Dyer Kelly Families,
What a great day we had last Wednesday! Our October 7 Attendance Lunch Party was a success, and we had only 18 students absent from school! Our Dragons enjoyed Otter Pops, tattoos, music, and dancing!
A big thank you to our families for getting your children to school and making attendance a priority. Every day matters! When students are at school and on time, they have more opportunities to learn.
If your child is absent, please remember to call our school office and let us know why. This helps us keep our attendance records correct.
