KAES Keenections

March 3 School Spring Picture Day! This is a wonderful opportunity for families to capture their child's growth. Students, with parent guidance, can come to school prepared for the pictures in their outfit choice, as the school uniform is not required for these pictures. Afterward, students are asked to change into their Monday uniform. We look forward to seeing everyone!

We are only about $6,000 away from our goal of $150,000 for our security wall project. This addition will enhance student safety by providing coverage for movement between buildings, create a clear and welcoming entrance to the school, and enable us to secure the entire campus. Please consider donating for this project. You can be the one who completes this project.

Today all the middle school students celebrated Texas Independence Day. To celebrate they traveled to the Chisholm Trail Museum right here in our community and learned all about early life in Texas. They also were able to attend a readers theater on the battle of the Alamo.

Home and School presented I Love KAES awards after chapel today. The best three posters from each grade received a prize box. Then our Valentines cards were taken to our communities service workers, at the police and fire stations, our church, and our nursing homes. We love our community!

This week the 5th grade simulated the California Gold Rush after studying about it in Social Studies class. Students had to claim their plot of land, stake their claim and then hope to find gold. If they found gold they weighed it to see what they earned.

This year the Texas Conference held their first Mind Games. This was a rapid fire quizlet and Jeopardy style game over ten rounds. KAES sent an Elementary team and a Junior High team. We are excited to share that the Elementary team came in second place and the Junior High team earned 4th place. They represented KAES well. So proud.

Lunch order is to be placed with the homeroom teacher each day.

Wednesday - Asian noodles, veggie meat, steamed vegetables, and juice or milk.

Thursday - Hotdogs, French fries, dessert, and juice or milk.

Friday - Half day, No lunch and no ASC
