Dear Mitchell Elementary Families,

This month is all about gratitude, and I want to take a moment to share how thankful I am for each member of our Mitchell Elementary family—our amazing faculty, our dedicated teachers, our incredible students, and you, our MES families. Your support and partnership are essential in helping our students grow, learn, and thrive.

Strong collaboration between home and school makes a world of difference. Here are three simple ways to strengthen our partnership:

1. Stay Informed: Regularly check DoJo, newsletters, and teacher communications to stay up-to-date on classroom happenings and school events.

2. Engage in Learning at Home: Ask your child about their day, review homework together, and celebrate their achievements—big or small!

3. Communicate Openly: Reach out to your child’s teacher with questions, concerns, or celebrations. Your insights help us tailor learning to your child’s needs.

Thank you for being an active and supportive part of our school community. Together, we can make every day at Mitchell Elementary a great day for learning and growth!

If a student must miss school, here are the following guidelines:

• A written excuse, signed by a parent or guardian, must be presented to the student's teacher on the day they return after an absence.

• For absences due to extended illnesses or students who have missed more than ten days of school, a statement from a healthcare practitioner may be required.

November 11, 2025 - No School Veteran's Day

November 27th & 28th - Thanksgiving Holiday - No School
