Hi WHS Families,
What a great first week! Students got acclimated to their new schedules and, for some, their new school. It was great to see our incoming 9th graders recognize me and feel like they were seen and known in their new school. Shout out to our amazing teachers for making students feel welcomed and supported in their first week. Students will be meeting, by grade, with their administrators to discuss school expectations and how to make it a successful year. Don't forget to reach out with any questions/concerns.
Be well,
Mr. Giacobozzi
HIGHLIGHTS OF THE WEEK!
CONGRATULATIONS!
Join us in celebrating the hard work of our students. Four students - Tobalashe Banjo, Emma Foley, Anna Hermans, and Jaylani Thiam - have received academic honors from the CollegeBoard National Recognition Programs for their strong performance in school and on assessments!
ANNOUNCEMENTS
A MESSAGE FROM OUR PTSO
Dear WHS Families:
Each year the Watertown High School PTSO relies on the donations of our community to enable the many ways we enhance the student experience. Some of the things we provided last year included:
- Welcome back our students and teachers with treats!
- Provide assistance to the Robotics Club and school newspaper
- Sponsor scholarships for graduating students
- Celebrate our teachers with a full week of appreciation
- Help to host the Seniors All Night Party and much more!
We can only do these things with your help! Please consider making a donation. You can donate via our Venmo Account (see QR code below) or by check made out to WHS PTSO (this saves us the platform and processing fees!) dropped off in the main office of WHS at 27 Westminster Ave.
If you would like to see us do more this year, we welcome ideas, input, and any help you may provide - just email us at watertownPTSO@gmail.com.
Monthly meetings will be held on the first Wednesday of each month at 6:30 in the High School main office conference room. Our first meeting is planned for Wednesday, October 2th. Tune into our Facebook page for up to date events (Watertown High School PTSO) Looking forward to another great year.
Thank you!
Gina M Brennan
