As part of our continual drive to improve our school for the children, we are speaking with the School Council about how we can improve playtimes. We already have a variety of activities depending on the weather like games, physical toys, books and puzzles. We would appreciate it if you could please ask your children what they enjoy doing at playtimes. They can tell their classteacher and this will feed into the discussions held with the School Council.

Many thanks to those local people who have already kindly offered their skills and time to enrich the learning of our children.

We have been very lucky as a Federation that the impact of COVID on staffing throughout the pandemic has been minimal compared with the vast majority of schools. Since our return in the New Year, we have unfortunately felt the impact of absences, which has resulted in our difficult to decision to have to temporarily close Pre-school at Wetwang and to merge Class 2 and 3 this week.

I can re-assure you that all staff continue to work tirelessly to ensure the highest quality of educational experience for all. We work collaboratively with Wetwang and this supports the curriculum delivery and we are able to deploy staff appropriately. These decisions are having to be taken on a frequent basis throughout the day and staff flexibility has ensured that pupil experiences remain of the highest quality.

If your child is in receipt of Free School Meals you will receive a voucher for the February half-term period and also two vouchers for the Easter half-term. We have scheduled these to be with you just prior to these holidays. Please let the office know if you do not receive these items.
