👋 Hello Bobcat Families,

This will be the last Family Newsletter of the year! I am reminded of a quote a mom friend used to share with me, "The days are long, but the years are short!" This year has flown by! As we come to the end of another school year, I want to sincerely thank you for your continued support and partnership. It’s been a year of growth, learning, and memories. I’m incredibly proud of all we’ve accomplished together.

We say farewell to our departing 5th graders and their families, who will be deeply missed, but remember, "Once a Bobcat, Always a Bobcat!" Come back and visit!

Wishing you a fun, restful summer. We look forward to welcoming everyone back in the fall.

P.S. The last day of school is this Wednesday, June 11th. School gets out early at 12:10.

Water Day is Monday! Students will be getting wet! Please send a change of clothes, socks, even shoes, if possible, in students' backpacks so they can change afterward as needed.

Thank you to Ms. Lorena Saldivar, owner of El Paisa Mex, for her generosity in providing our staff with a delicious taco lunch party! We appreciate you! Be sure to visit her restaurant for a yummy meal!

THANK YOU TO MS. HODGE FOR PLANNING AN AMAZING CAREER DAY! That was a huge undertaking! She gave our students an experience they will never forget!

Thank you Ms. Aguilera, Ms. Hodgson, Ms. Shaffer, Ms. Hudson, and Ms. Dame! They assisted in the planning of this wonderful event and are very much appreciated!

Thank you to all of the people who reached out to family and friends to get some amazing, interesting presenters and to our family and community for taking time off to present to our students! This was another fantastic Career Day!

This week, TK-3 grade students earned enough ROAR points to have a dance party! Check out some moves below:

5th grade families got to have an extra family lunch day to celebrate the end of the year!

Reminder: A valid photo ID is required to sign out a student.

An early or late pick-up of students also requires a valid I.D. of the parent, guardian, or authorized person. The following will be acceptable forms of identification to help facilitate this process the identification must be valid, or if the identification has expired, it must have been issued within the past five (5) years: A valid state-issued driver’s license; a valid state-issued identification card; a valid United States passport; a valid foreign passport; a valid foreign driver’s license; a valid permanent Resident Alien Card; and a valid military identification card. Valid identification cards must contain the following: The photograph of the signer; the physical description of the signer; a serial or identifying number on the identification; and the signature of the signer.

If you have any outstanding library fines (overdue books, broken iPad fines, etc.) you will not be issued a report card until they are paid. The office will accept payment. Thank you!

Only cars that display a valid handicap parking placard should park in the handicap parking spaces. This is extremely important for these spaces to be available to families with disabilities. Thank you for your cooperation!

5th grade promotion is this Tuesday, 6/10. 5th Graders will have a special hot breakfast in the MPR from 8:00-8:30. At 8:30 we will open the gates to families and begin the promotion ceremony immediately following at approximately 8:45 AM. Tickets not required. Important details to note:

• NO NOISE MAKERS will be permitted. Thank you for respecting our student's with sensory sensitivities.
• If you bring balloons, they must either be tied to the fence or behind the last row of seats. We cannot have anyone's view blocked.
• Money leis need to be taken home after the ceremony. The school is not responsible for any lost or stolen leis, gifts, etc.
• If your 5th graders has a sibling who attends Felicita and would like to watch, they must be checked out by parent in the front office with a valid ID. Teachers cannot just send them down.
• Parents, if you choose to sign your student out after promotion, you must have a valid picture ID and sign out in the front office. No exceptions!
• Reminder: No Dogs are allowed on campus!

There are only 4 yearbooks left! Last chance to swing by the office with $25 cash before they are gone!

Hello Felicita Families!

Thank you to those who have already done their return student registrations! We are still waiting for 285 more families to complete theirs. If you need assistance please refer to the email that was sent out a couple weeks ago and if you need further help, the front office is available during working hours.

Help us reach our attendance goal of 94% average daily attendance!

Regular student attendance plays a critical role in our collective mission to ensure every student achieves their fullest potential.

Why Attendance Should Be a Top Priority:

1. Academic Achievement: Regular attendance is fundamental to student success. Each school day is a building block in the learning process. Consistent attendance helps students keep up with coursework, understand key concepts, and perform better academically.

2. Social and Emotional Development: School is a place where students develop crucial social skills and emotional resilience. Frequent absences can hinder their ability to form strong relationships with peers and teachers, impacting their overall development.

3. Future Opportunities: Consistent attendance is linked to higher graduation rates and better long-term outcomes, including higher education and career prospects. By prioritizing attendance, we are directly contributing to students' future success.

4. School Culture: Regular attendance fosters a positive school culture and enhances the learning environment for everyone. It creates a sense of community and ensures that all students have equal access to the resources and support they need.
