Park Community Family Update
August- Back To School Edition
Welcome Back!
What a summer! We have been busy at Park Community Charter School and are eager to welcome all of our new and returning families for the 26-27 school year. Please allow us to interrupt your summer for some important updates.
The 2026-2027 school year will begin on August 26th with our Open House for students in grades K-4 from 5:00-6:30 PM. Sign up will be available on August 7th. Our 4K families can sign up here for the 4K open house appointments on Sept. 1st and 2nd: 4K Open House Sign Up . The first day of school for students in grades 1st-4th is Sept. 1st. Kindergarten students have a staggered start- you should have received your start date via email. 4K students start on Sept. 3rd.
Park staff have been busy this summer growing their skills, reorganizing the school, and resting and relaxing. We sent 3 staff members to the Conscious Discipline Institute this summer. All classroom and special education teachers received training in the updated Bridges Math curriculum, and many small groups met to refine plans for the school year. Staff also spent time with their families, traveling, enjoying the sunshine and refueling.
We have lots to share, so be sure to read the entire newsletter for:
1. Staffing Updates
2. Construction Updates
3. Mascot Reveal!
4. Important Dates
The Park office will be open full time stating August 10th. Please reach out with any questions you may have!
Wishing You Well,

Construction Updateπ§
It has been a busy summer inside and outside of our school building. The builders are putting the finishing touches on our new spaces. Here is what you can expect:
- A secure entry at the front door with a second set of doors and direct access to the office.
- A new Main Office suite including reception area, Principal's office, conference room, teacher work room, Pupil Services office and a bathroom.
- The conversion of the old office into a hub for our Reading Coach, Math Coach and Interventionists, including space to work with small groups.
- A brand new top floor with an open library space, 2 multipurpose classrooms, shared office space, and motor lab, as well as two bathrooms.
We are eager to share these spaces with you! Please note that they may not be accessible during open house, but we will have a ribbon cutting event this fall to give you a change to see the changes! Watch Facebook for sneak peeks coming soon!

Why the River Otter?
The River Otter is arguably the strongest native Wisconsin match for PCCS because it balances social community with intelligent adaptation.
PCCS Pillar Match: Community Connections. Otters are incredibly social animals. They live in family groups, communicate constantly, and are famous for their playful behavior. This play isnβt just for fun; it is how young otters learn survival skills, collaborate, and build strong social bonds.
PCCS Pillar Match: Place-Based Learning. Otters are native to the Fox River running through Kaukauna. They are curious explorers of their local environment, perfectly symbolizing students who use their local community as their classroom.
PCCS Pillar Match: Respectful Climate: Otters are intelligent, resourceful, and extremely adaptable to different aquatic and land habitats. They embody a safe, caring, and joyful learning environment.
Students will have the opportunity to help us name our Otter at Open House. We will also be doing a fundraiser with updated Park shirts and blankets, featuring our new mascot!
