It’s been a great week at the Branch! Tomorrow begins our spring break and we encourage all students and staff to take this time to restore, relax, and spend this time with loved ones.

High school parents and students, EOC test prep sessions will resume after spring break. Students please take a few minutes each day to review your ISN notes and study plans on progress learning to keep the content fresh in your minds.

Teachers hold weekly office hours from 3:30 to 4:30 PM. Check the chart for each teacher’s day. This time can be used for make‑up work, extra help, or retakes. Students may take up to five retakes per course, except for benchmark tests, and should let their teacher know ahead of time.

Students, please help us locate some missing chargers. If found please return to Ms. Davis in the library, a $5 Eagle buck reward will be given for turning in a missing charger. Thank you!

Seniors please check Google Classroom for scholarship opportunities daily. If you need help applying, please contact: Mrs. Yolanda Fanning, school counselor, or Mrs. Carolyn Reed-Dingle, career specialist.

End-of-Course (EOC) Testing is quickly approaching!

To help students feel confident and prepared, we are offering EOC Test Prep sessions during teacher office hours.

are strongly encouraged to attend!

Mrs. Jackson's 7th grade ELA class made connections between reading and science this week. Students were engaged in The Science and Craft of Flight. Students read a text about kites. Students were engaged in reading for information, understanding vocabulary in context, and comprehending the text. After completing their reading activities, students went outside and flew kites. These hands-on connections to text helped the students apply their learning and better understand the text. Way to go Eagles! Mrs. Jackson, we thank you for providing these valuable and authentic teaching and learning experiences for our students.

On Monday, March 30th, the SBHS concert choir performed at the inaugural opening of the Civil Rights Museum in Orangeburg, SC. Thank you students for representing Scott's Branch with your performance and actions. We are proud of each of you and look forward to more performances in the future!

This month, our Eagle students recently participated in their third Eagle Bucks Auction of the school year. Students were given a chance to bet on new cool prizes, gift cards, treat baskets, and incentives. We are excited for our students to continue learning and improving their skills in communication, negotiation, quick decision making, and public speaking.

Congratulations to our winners! Students, continue to earn your Eagle Bucks this quarter and stay tuned for our fourth and final Eagle Bucks Auction scheduled for May where we will have DOUBLE the prizes and double the FUN!!!!

Calling all middle and high school students interested in cheerleading—cheer tryouts are here!

Round one will require you to submit an original cheer dance that is no longer than 45 seconds. This is an individual tryout—no teams—so be sure to show your creativity, style, and class. Scott Branch High School is partnering with The Blood Connection to sponsor a blood drive on Thursday, April 23 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. Each donor will receive $30 in donor rewards and the school will receive $500 for 30+ units collected! Each blood donation saves up to 3 lives!

Donors need to be at least 16 years old (16-year-olds need a signed parental consent form), weigh at least 110 pounds, have a photo ID and be in general good health.
