AVA Family Update
October 4, 2024
Good morning AVA Students and Families,
We have a half-day for students next Friday, so students should note the times have changed for classes that day, as seen below.
1. I have completed contacting any students I was worried about. If you didn't hear from me, you/your student is in good shape. I have also emailed most students and families with an update when students are doing well, and I'll have contacted everyone by midweek next week to offer my assessment of the first months' progress.
2. I am leaving Ms. Ng's update up for a second week, as it contains vital info for seniors and Naviance info for everyone else.
Thank you for your time.

Second Notice: Guidance Updates
Naviance
Attleboro Public Schools provides its high school students with access to Naviance - a no-cost, ad-free online College and Career search tool. It is a great resource to utilize throughout high school, whether to take surveys to figure out possible career paths based on personal interests or looking up best-match colleges based on GPA and such. AVA Seniors: your current GPA is now also updated and available to view in your Naviance account.
Students new to APS for SY24-25: please check your attleborops.net email for a Naviance password reset that was sent earlier this week. Direct transfer students from AHS do not need to complete this step. Any student may still email Ms Nellie (below) anytime if you forget your Naviance password. Below are login instructions and recommended Naviance activities based on grade level.

Final reminder! The AHS College Fair is next Monday, Sept. 30th, on campus from about 8:30am to 10am. All AVA juniors and seniors are strongly encouraged to come check out and speak to representatives from colleges, employers, and the military. Forming these connections can be what makes all the difference! Click HERE for the latest list of attendees.
As always, please feel free to email me (nng@attleboroschools.com) with any questions, comments, or concerns. Have a safe and dry weekend!
