April 6 - April 10
Hello Mustang Families!
The week before Spring Break, students in Mr. Green’s marine biology elective participated in the annual Sea Camp field trip. Throughout the day, they experienced marine life up close in multiple ways: snorkeling in Mission Bay, touring San Diego Harbor by boat, and lowering a net to the ocean floor to collect and examine sea life firsthand. This elective is a great option for 7th and 8th grade students interested in learning more about the ocean!
Also before Spring Break, Mr. Pezzoli organized a memorable Stellar Night for our school community. Teachers and parents brought a variety of telescopes, giving participants the opportunity to observe Jupiter, Saturn, the North Star, Orion, and other constellations. It was such a clear night that the group even spotted a satellite passing overhead. It was a great evening of learning and connection, and we look forward to hosting this event again next year.
I hope everyone had a fantastic Spring Break! We look forward to seeing everyone back at school tomorrow, Monday, April 6, at our regular 10am late start time.
Thanks for reading, and have a great week!
