We are reaching out to our talented, dedicated Ditson community! Are you looking for a flexible way to stay connected to the school, earn extra income, and make a direct, positive impact on our students’ daily learning experience?

We are urgently seeking dedicated, reliable individuals to join our team as Substitute Teachers.

Why Substitute at Ditson?

Being a substitute is one of the most important roles in our school, providing vital continuity for our classrooms.

Flexibility: You set your own schedule! Choose the days that work best for your personal calendar. This is an ideal fit for parents, retirees, or community members seeking part-time work.
Make an Impact: Ensure that when a teacher is absent, students continue to receive strong instruction and a stable, predictable learning environment. You help maintain our Tier 1 instruction for all students.
Competitive Pay: Substitutes are compensated competitively on a daily basis.

What We Are Looking For

You do not need to be a certified teacher to be a substitute! We need reliable adults who are:

Enthusiastic about working with children.
Able to follow prepared lesson plans and manage a classroom environment.
Available for full-day or half-day assignments (as needed).

Hi Ditson Families!

Get ready for one of our favorite school traditions — the Ditson Holiday Fair!
Join us on Saturday, December 6th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for a fun-filled day of crafts, games, raffles, shopping, cookie decorating, cultural traditions, and even photos with Santa!

There will be free activities for kids, a used book sale, bake sale, raffles, pizza for purchase, and opportunities for kids to shop for inexpensive gifts for friends and family.

Volunteers Needed!

We welcome help from parents, older siblings, and relatives!

Donations Needed!

Candy and Baked Goods:
We’re looking for donations of unwrapped, easy-to-scoop candy (like M&Ms, Skittles, Swedish Fish, Sour Patch Kids, gummy worms, etc.) for the Candy Bar Station. Baked goods for the sale are also appreciated!

Gently Used Books:
We’re collecting elementary-level books (pre-reader through chapter books) in good condition for our Used Book Table. Books that don’t sell will be donated.

Raffle Items:
We welcome new, unused, or homemade items — large or small — for our raffle table.

We can’t wait to celebrate with you and kick off the holiday season Ditson-style! Thank you for your continued support in making this event a special day for our students and families.
