Action Packed Week

Conferences were a success! Thank you to everyone who was able to attend their conference on Thursday night. The parent school partnership is critical to the success of our students. It ensures that the learning continues to progress in a positive manner!

I'd also like to thank the PTO and all the parent volunteers who made Monday's Pie Day a success. The amount of organization and effort that went into that day was incredible. Even though it took a couple of days to get rid of the whip cream smell from my nose, it was still a very fun event. I appreciate everyone that was a good sport about taking a pie to the face. The kids had a blast and seeing their smiles made it all worthwhile!

Wednesday was our early release staff development day. We had an engaging two hour afternoon learning about engaging classroom activities. We were all able to partake and reflect on different strategies that will keep the learning fun! It was a very productive afternoon. I've already heard of a couple of teachers who implemented a new strategy or two right away on Thursday. I'm proud of our staff for their efforts in learning new things and taking the risks of trying them out in the classroom. Our students will enjoy the new ideas coming their way!
