GRAMMAR GAZETTE
January 2025 Edition

Thursday, January 15, 2026
Dear Parents and Guardians,
I hope you each enjoyed a restful and refreshing winter break. It has been wonderful welcoming students back and starting 2026 together!
Before break, we were so excited by the success of Book Week! Our students showed tremendous enthusiasm, and we are especially proud of our Battle of the Books teams, hosted by Ms. Buri and Ms. Heirlmaier. There were 20 teams and the top 10 teams will compete for Round 2 in April. Winners of that round will compete in a final round with all Friends of Education schools in May.
Congratulations to our entire Lower School for bringing in over 500 food items for our Student Proxeny Food Drive. All students earned a non uniform day today and second grade won a game of dodgeball against Mrs. Farrell for bringing in the most food items per grade. I wonder who will win that game?!
Please note the following important dates:
January 15 marks the end of Quarter 2
No school on January 16
Report cards will be mailed home the week of January 27
Looking ahead, our next Virtue Assembly will be hosted by our Second Grade Sayers of Truth on February 3 at 3:00 PM. The focus of the assembly will be the virtue of Prudence, and all families are welcome to attend.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Farrell
School Snacks
Each classroom has Daily Snack built into the schedule. Please note that we encourage all students to bring a snack to school each day. If a student forgets a snack, they can take one from our emergency snacks in the main office. We are currently out of main office snacks and seeking donations.
If you are able, we would gladly take donations of healthy snacks without tree nuts (e.g., peanuts) or artificial coloring (e.g., yellow food dye). A list of school snack options is available here. Thank you so much.
