Cherry Creek Academy has partnered with Schoolpool to assist families interested in connecting to set up carpools for daily school pick up and drop off, sports and activities transportation and more!

The more families register, the more likely you are to find good matches. Even if your family doesn’t need a ride, consider signing up to see other families that live in your area. Your participation builds a stronger school community.

If your family has set up a carpool with other CCA families, please email Miss Sadie at frontdesk@cherrycreekacademy.org to let her know so we can ensure your children go to the correct dismissal location.

Please be respectful when parking in our surrounding neighborhoods. According to the Colorado parking law, no vehicle may be parked:

• Within 5 Feet of a Private Driveway
• Within 15 Feet of a Fire Hydrant
• Within 20 Feet of a Crosswalk
• Within 30 Feet of a Flashing Beacon, Signal, Stop Sign, or Yield Sign
• Please be aware of the NO PARKING signs located in the neighborhoods.
• U-turns are illegal on Caley as indicated by the posted signs.
• Left-hand turns into CCA’s parking lot and onto Elmira Circle are illegal from 7:15am –8:15am and 2:45pm–3:45pm. Our front parking lot will be closed from 7:20am – 8:00am and again from 2:45pm –3:45pm. Please do not move the chain!
• Double parking is never allowed. If cars are along the side of the road, please pull in behind them.

Please adhere to the indicated times for your students' dismissal:

• If you arrive before your student’s assigned pick-up time, you may be asked to leave and come back at your scheduled time.
  • For example, the 3:35 pm group should not arrive before 3:25 pm, to allow the 3:15 pm group time to pick up their children.

Students with older CCA siblings or carpool members will wait in a predetermined location with a staff member who will escort them to the proper pick-up destination at the time that the older sibling or carpool member is released. Pick-up times will not change even if the older student is absent or in an after-school activity. Please adhere to this policy, it is for the safety of all students.

Mark your calendars for Friday, August 29, 2025 – it’s nearly time for one of CCA’s traditions: Fly Like an Eagle (FLAE) Day!

FLAE Day is organized to start the school year off by creating connection through teamwork and collaboration! Students will spend the afternoon participating in team-building activities, outdoor games, and hands-on stations that bring these values to life.

Exciting news, we have new Chromebook cases and several classes will be using brand new devices!

Repair and replacement costs from our suppliers have increased, which has unfortunately led to a rise in our prices. To help offset these potential costs, we highly recommend purchasing insurance for your child's Chromebook. This can provide peace of mind and protect you from unexpected expenses.

Cherry Creek Academy offers optional Chromebook Repair Insurance for 4th-8th grade students. Insurance is available from July 1 through August 31 at 11:59 PM and costs $40 per student, per school year. Please note that coverage isn't active until 48 hours after payment.

Insurance covers 50% of all damage claims. For example, a screen replacement would cost $80 with insurance, compared to the regular $160 fee. You can make payments online via Revtrak, or by cash or check made out to CCA.

It's time to gear up for a new season of sports! We're excited to announce that registration is now open for our fall Middle School sports programs. We can't wait to see your kids develop their skills, build teamwork, and have a blast with their friends.

Sports are a fantastic way for students to stay active, build confidence, and learn valuable life lessons. This fall, we're thrilled to offer the following options:

• Boys Soccer

• Girls Volleyball

• Co-Ed Cross Country

Soccer and volleyball practices are held after school Monday - Thursday. Cross Country will be Monday, Tuesday, Thursday. Practice schedules are subject to change. Games and meets will be added to the Athletics calendar as they are scheduled. A live calendar and details will be supplied by coaching staff after registration.

Attention all CCA Middle School students! Peer Helpers will begin meeting on Friday, August 15th at 7:15am in Mrs. MacFarland's room. Any middle school students who are interested in participating in our Peer Helper program should plan on attending this meeting.

Peer Helpers is a group of Middle School students who are trained in leadership skills in order to help their fellow CCA community. Our main roles are providing tutoring and/or going on Buddy Walks with elementary students. Please email Mrs. MacFarland mmacfarland@cherrycreekacademy.org with any questions. I hope to see you there!

Kings of Chess club helps kids learn chess in a fun way. Registration is open now. Chess club begins meeting at CCA on Monday, August 25.

Please join PTO for our first monthly meeting of the school year on Friday, August 15 at 8:15am in the Innovation Space. Coffee and Pastries will be provided.

Join the CCA PTO for an evening of excitement at our annual school carnival! This is a fantastic opportunity for the whole school community to come together and have a great time. We've got a ton of fun planned, including classic carnival games, giant inflatables, creative face painting, and a silly photo booth to capture all the memories.

CCA students will receive a wristband and 10 tickets each to use on pizza, drinks and activities. Additional tickets are available for purchase at the event. This event is open to CCA students, family members, and friends. If you have guests joining who aren't immediate CCA family members, they can purchase a wristband for $9.00 each to enjoy all the fun. For more information, see the Carnival Flyer that was sent home with students.

A friendly reminder: all students must be accompanied by an adult throughout the evening. We can't wait to see you there!
