Demerits
In an effort to decrease the number of SBRs, the secondary campus is implementing a demerit system of behavior discipline per the Family Handbook pp. 30-31. Demerits will be given for classroom interruptions such as excessive talking, blurting out, being unprepared for class (no Chromebook, uncharged Chromebook, no required headphones, etc.), or having to go to a locker to retrieve a book, binder, etc. Each 10th demerit will equal one SBR, and the count will start over each quarter. Parents and students may check their demerit count under the behavior tab on their FACTS dashboard.
Cell Phone Policy 📵
Students will not be allowed to have their cell phones, smart watches/other smart devices on their person during the school day, from the time they arrive until 3:30 pm or the end of their school day. Students are encouraged to keep their cell phones and smart devices in their cars. Otherwise, they will surrender these devices upon entering school. Legacy Administration will provide a secure location for the phone/device storage.
There will be exceptions for students with documented medical needs, disabilities requiring accommodations, or for situations involving legal or safety protocols.
If students are found to have a cell phone or a smart device at school during these hours, it will be taken and turned over to the office. A fine of $75 will be assessed in order to recover their device. If a student refuses to surrender these devices, a Level 2 SBR will be issued for insubordination.
Parents can still communicate with their students via email on their chromebooks or contact the front office.
Chapel
Chapel will now be held between 2nd block and lunch every Friday! No chapel dress required.

Tutorials are held at the end of each school day for secondary students. This is a great time for students to receive extra one-on-one help from teachers, complete their homework, or make up tests. Most students stay on campus and benefit from tutorials, but students with all A's are allowed to sign out of tutorials early and leave school. Some students drive, some ride with others, and some are picked up by parents. If a student with all A's chooses to sign out and leave, they must have a Tutorial Dismissal Permission Form signed by parents/guardians on file in the office. Without this form on file, students will not be allowed to leave until 3:30pm, when all students are dismissed.
What is Interim Term? A unique opportunity for secondary students to engage in experiential learning beyond the traditional classroom setting. Our first Interim Term will take place March 9-13, 2026 where our students will participate in special courses designed to enrich their education in innovative and practical ways.
Each day will consist of one of the following:
Two sessions per day (one in the morning, one in the afternoon)
A full-day session (one course lasting all day)
Travel opportunities
Students will have the opportunity to select from a variety of courses taught by faculty and guest instructors. Students can also choose a travel experience, although these are limited. Additionally, juniors and seniors may apply for an Interim Term Internship, gaining hands-on experience in a professional setting.
