Street Smart
As we step into the rainy days of April, let’s shine a spotlight on pedestrian safety! With more people out walking and enjoying the spring weather, it's crucial to stay alert and follow safe walking practices. Always use crosswalks, make eye contact with drivers before crossing, and stay visible—especially in the early mornings and evenings. Let’s work together to keep our streets safe for everyone!
WATCH FOR PEDESTRIANS
Hey drivers, it's time to put those observation skills to the test! Pedestrians are everywhere and it's our responsibility to keep an eye out for them!
Dress Code Reminders!
As the weather starts to warm, it is a great time to remind you of the school district dress policy!
Prohibited clothing includes:
- Items with inappropriate exposure due to hems, waistlines, necklines, holes, or tears.
- Midriffs, hips, cleavage, buttocks, upper thighs, and undergarments must remain covered at all times, even during movement.
- Specifically, strapless shirts/dresses, short skirts/shorts, transparent clothing, and cut-off t-shirts with exposed sides are not allowed.
- Clothing promoting alcohol, drugs, weapons, offensive language, or gang symbols is prohibited, as are items with obscene or sexually suggestive content.
- Hats, hoods, sunglasses, non-jewelry chains, and certain accessories like backpacks, purses, or blankets are also restricted without permission.
- Jackets, coats, and outdoor gear are not allowed in class. Please review these guidelines in advance—violations will require a change of attire.
