Theme for the 2026-2027 School Year
Our theme for the 2026–2027 school year is Growing Stronger Together!
Growing Stronger Together reflects our commitment to building a school community where every child is supported academically, socially, and emotionally. We believe students thrive when they feel connected—to their teachers, their peers, and their school. By working together—school and home—we can help every child grow in confidence, character, and achievement.
New Staff Member Spotlight
Haley Gravely - Nurse
My name is Haley Gravely, and I am beyond excited to be joining the Ambler family! I have been married to my wonderful husband, Aaron, for four years, and we have a sweet almost one-year-old son named Noah. I have been a nurse for over seven years, and I can honestly say my passion is school nursing. I look forward to going to work each day and helping keep every child safe and healthy!
When I’m not at work, I’m spending time with my family doing just about anything and everything. Whether we’re walking, fishing, watching the Braves, or exploring somewhere new, you can usually find me with my family and an iced coffee in hand.
Lexi Whitaker - 3rd Grade
Hello! My name is Lexi Whitaker, and I am so excited to join Ambler Elementary School as a first-year teacher in the fall! I recently graduated from Anderson University with a degree in early childhood and elementary education. As a lifelong learner myself, I am passionate about fostering a nurturing environment where students feel safe and supported to rise above challenges and develop a growth mindset. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy traveling, baking, and spending time with family and friends. I can't wait to begin my teaching career and look forward to a great year ahead!
Lisa Hiott - Spanish Teacher
My name is Lisa Hiott, and I have been teaching for three decades! I began as an elementary school teacher, then taught ESOL, and eventually landed at PHS where I taught Spanish for 21 years. I am married to Davey Hiott, and we have two adult children who are married and have provided me with three beautiful granddaughters. I love to travel, to read, and to work in the yard. I am looking forward to this new and exciting chapter in my teaching career!
Stephanie Jewell - 2nd Grade Teacher
Hi, my name is Stephanie Jewell, and I am excited to begin my second year of teaching as an induction teacher in 2nd grade here at Ambler! I am a graduate of Liberty High School, so it is especially meaningful to teach in the district that helped shape who I am today. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with family, traveling, singing, and all things Disney! This year is extra special for me because not only am I beginning a new journey at Ambler, but I will also be marrying my high school sweetheart, Brian Muse, this December. I am looking forward to working alongside all of you at Ambler, especially my aunt, Caroline Jewell.
Devin Harden - Special Ed
Hi everyone! My name is Devin Harden, and I am so excited to be joining the Ambler family! This will be my fifth year teaching. When I’m not in the classroom, I am usually spending time with my wonderful husband, Drew, and our daughter, Addie Kate, who turns one this July! As a family, we love spending time in the great outdoors and hanging out with our animals. I can’t wait to see what this school year brings!
