A Note from Mrs. Pitts
Dear RES Family,
This is it, the last newsletter of the 2024-2025 school year! We are SO proud of our students for their academic, social and emotional growth. They worked hard and they played hard. Every day we experience so much emotion as we watch them laugh, cry, struggle and succeed. We wouldn't trade one moment because all of those little moments this year have strengthened them, taught us and brought our school closer as a community.
I also want to give a HUGE shout out to the staff. These teachers and staff members bring the light every day and our students are drawn to it. They are inspiring, they make my job FUN, they fill the day with joy and (so much more often than not) they put the needs of our students before their own. RES is truly a magical place where learning happens but happiness is the priority.
To our families, thank you for your support and your trust. We know how heavy it feels to send your child(ren) to us each and every day but the relationships we have built with all of you are why we are able to do our jobs with a sense of peace and confidence. You know you can always reach out and we will listen because our job is to put these students in the center of all we do.
Have an amazing summer! We will miss these children SO much, especially our ROCK STAR fourth graders. I can't even go there yet, I will hold off that emotion until next week:)
Thank you for your support, as always,
Michelle
Last Minute Notes/CHECKLIST
1. PLEASE check the Lost and Found!!!!
2. We will send teacher placements in mid-August.
3. Students should have Lexia Access through the summer and i-Ready access until mid-summer. Technology is always a guessing game so we hope this is your experience if you are wanting your child to get extra practice.
4. PLEASE read this letter if you would like to access your child's third or fourth grade NH State Testing scores!
5. The week of June 23, we will receive a large furniture order for our new library. This would include tables and a few bookcases. We MAY need help putting these pieces together. We are unsure of the EXACT day but if you would be willing to help, please email Michelle Pitts (mpitts@sau50.org).
6. Help us complete our lunch balances! If you receive an email, please send money or write a check to Rye Elementary School. We are really hoping not to call or email as follow ups as this can take time from our busy office!
7. PLEASE notify the office if you know your child will be absent on Monday and/or Tuesday!
