Mohegan Update 10/17
October 17th, 2026
MUSTANGS READ TOGETHER
We are continuing to read Charlotte's Web as a school. We are encouraging all families to read together each night and for students to talk to each other about the book , regardless of what grade they are in. This weekend, we encourage all families to read Chapter 12. There will be Trivia Questions on Monday for the students to answer.
We had to move the family night for Charlotte’s Web to Thursday, November 5th.
For more information, see the website linked here.
PLAYGROUND USE AFTER SCHOOL HOURS
The playgrounds at Mohegan Elementary School are open for public use outside of school hours. We ask that any families using the playground after school or on the weekends please pick up their trash. We want to keep a safe and clean environment for our students during their outdoor play time. Thank you.

VISION OF A GRADUATE
Shelton Public Schools has adopted their Vision of a Graduate (VOG). These 6 attributes are what we expect all Shelton students to have when they graduate from high school. At Mohegan School, we want to show students that these are attributes that we can demonstrate throughout our academic years and beyond. Every month we will focus on a different attribute. This month’s attribute is: EMPATHY - the ability to listen and understand others’ perspective, needs and culture.
