A Note From the Principal

Dear CHS Families,

As we move into October, it is hard to believe that we are already approaching the end of the first quarter! This is an important time for students to take a close look at their grades, turn in any missing work, and finish the quarter strong. Just as importantly, consistent attendance matters. Every day in the classroom is an opportunity to learn, connect with teachers, and stay on track academically. Please continue encouraging your student to be at school, on time, and ready to learn each day.

October also brings several opportunities and important dates for our families. CHS is proud to serve as a College Goal Sunday host site, providing students and families with support as they complete and submit the FAFSA. For our seniors and their families, I strongly encourage you to take advantage of this resource as you begin planning for life after graduation.

Be sure to also check out our Student Services Newsletter for information about college and career planning, scholarships, financial aid, graduation requirements, and other opportunities available to our students. Our Student Services team is an excellent resource, whether your student's next step is college, the workforce, military service, or another pathway.

Please also remember that October 14 is a Professional Development/Conference Day. Additional information regarding conferences and the schedule for that day will be shared as we get closer.

Finally, I want to thank our families for the consistent communication and partnership we have experienced this school year. When families and schools communicate openly and work together, our students benefit. We appreciate your willingness to reach out with questions, concerns, and celebrations, and we are grateful for the strong partnership between our families and CHS.
