Chicken BBQ to Support Eighth Grade
This fundraiser supports our 8th graders Dinner Dance and Class Trip. Without a successful fund raisers students(families) will have to pay for these 2 events.
A great way to clean up your house and support the school.
Bussing 2025-2026
Dear Parents and Guardians,
We are pleased to announce that school bus transportation will be available for eligible students starting next school year!
đź“… Start Date: September 2025
🕖 Bus Hours: 7:00 AM – 2:00 PM
🏫 School Hours: 7:25 AM – 2:00 PM
📍 Eligibility: Students must live more than 0.7 miles from the school to qualify for bus transportation. BPS determines eligibility based on the address on file for your student(s).
🏡 Required: Families must provide up-to-date proof of residence for bus registration. If you move during the year, we need an updated proof of residency to change your bus route. The bus requires 2 weeks for a change, so please provide up-to-date evidence of residence as soon as possible.
📝 Registration Details: We will share information with the district for students who reside in Buffalo. They will then develop bus routes and communicate directly with the families. If you live in any district besides Buffalo, please contact their registration department to sign up for a bus. You can sign up immediately for all districts besides Buffalo for this school year.
If this time change impacts your re-enrollment status, please contact the school.
We’re excited to offer this service to help ensure safe and reliable transportation for our students. If you have any questions, please contact the school at 716-816-3450.
Grades 6-8 Lunch

2. No Water Bottles can be brought down to lunch.
3. No outside food can be delivered to students for lunch.
4. Students can only bring in plain water at school, no sweetened drinks, no soda, no energy drinks.
4. Some students will be eating in the cafeteria and others will be in the auditorium for the rest of the year. This will be directly related to those who have followed the expectations receiving more freedoms and privileges during the lunch period.
What Makes Westminster Special?
This year, our Middle School students had the unique opportunity to work with UB athletes in a mentorship program, a brainchild of UB football wide receiver Taji Johnson. When Taji Johnson joined UB in spring 2024 for his graduate studies, he brought more than just his football gear and Southern hospitality. He brought a vision. Taji Johnson, a current mental health counseling student in the Graduate School of Education (GSE), has initiated “Become a Bull,” a mentorship program that connects UB student-athletes with middle school students from Westminster Charter School on Buffalo’s East Side. Once a month, Johnson leads a group of UB athletes into local schools for leadership development, mentorship, and mental health awareness. Later that month, the middle school students are welcomed onto the UB campus for a full-day immersion, a truly exciting experience for them.
Family Referral Program
We are excited to announce our Recruitment Referral Program — and give you a chance to win a $100 Gift Card in our weekly drawing!
Our school family is growing, and we believe great families know great families. If you refer a new family to WCCS, you'll be entered into a weekly drawing for a $100 gift card as a thank-you for helping our community grow!
How It Works:
Tell your friends, neighbors, and family about WCCS and encourage them to learn more.
Either send in the following information or add it to the referral form.
Potential Parent/Guardian Name
Potential Student(s) Name(s)
Potential Student(s) Grade(s)
Potential Family Phone Number
Potential Family email
Potential Family address
Name of the person who is completing the referral
Once you complete the form online or send the information to the school, you’ll be entered into that week’s drawing for a $100 gift card!
Winners are drawn every Friday and notified by phone. Make sure the office has your correct phone number.
Bonus:
The more families you refer and who enroll, the more entries you get — there’s no limit!
Thank you for being a valued part of the WCCS Pride. Together, we can make our community stronger!
If you have any questions, please contact Tasha Leeper at 716-816-3450, ext 1184, lleeper@westminsterccs.org.
