MUSTANG SPOTLIGHT - MRS. GAIL DIGIOIA, SCIENCE TEACHER AT SHS

Mrs. Gail DiGioia is in her 24th year teaching science at Strongsville High School. Mrs. DiGioia earned her undergraduate degree from Ohio University and her graduate degree from Baldwin Wallace University.

“I love the moments when I see my students get excited about what they are learning in biology. Sometimes I feel like I can actually see the precise moment when a concept clicks in a student’s mind and becomes something tangible. I enjoy seeing their faces light up with genuine curiosity, and their questions shift from being simple and clarification-seeking to deep, probing inquiries that challenge their understanding. Whether it's the sheer awe of observing life under the microscope or the satisfaction of solving a challenging problem, that visible enthusiasm is one of the most rewarding aspects of my job. It validates the effort put into designing engaging lessons and reinforces my passion for teaching.”

Thank you Mrs. DiGioia for being part of an amazing science team at Strongsville High School! #ModelMustang

SHS STUDENTS RECEIVE INTERVIEW PREP GUIDANCE FROM STRONGSVILLE ROTARY MEMBERS

SHS students in our Career-Based Intervention (CBI) program recently participated in a hands-on Interview Preparation Workshop in partnership with members of Strongsville Rotary. This engaging experience was designed to strengthen employability skills and prepare students for real-world job interviews.

The workshop was structured into three interactive learning stations, allowing students to rotate through each experience while receiving personalized feedback from Rotary professionals at every stop. This format ensured every student engaged in each area of interview preparation while receiving individualized, constructive feedback from community business leaders. Topics included structuring strong interview responses, interview ‘Do’s & Dont’s’ and interview preparation. This authentic, real-world experience not only reinforced classroom instruction but also strengthened students’ confidence and readiness for employment.

BIG THANK YOU to Strongsville Rotary - we are grateful for our continued partnership and your commitment to supporting the success of our students.
