About BUSD ATP

BUSD ATP is a comprehensive educational support network that helps students with disabilities, ages 18-22, gain the skills necessary for a successful transition to adulthood. Our program combines classroom instruction, work experience, volunteer opportunities, and community-based learning to help students achieve their post-secondary goals in education/training, employment, and independent living.

Our ATP students embody resilience, determination, and the power of never giving up. They remind us that learning is not bound by age or limitations, but by the drive to grow, explore, and embrace new challenges. Every step forward, no matter how small, is a triumph that showcases their strength and perseverance. In the classroom, they inspire not only their peers but also educators, creating an environment where patience, understanding, and encouragement flourish. These students prove that education is a lifelong journey, and every person, regardless of their abilities, deserves the opportunity to thrive, learn, and shine in their own unique way.

Our Approach

We integrate real-life experiences into education, ensuring our students successfully transition into meaningful careers and independent living pathways. Students are guided to explore opportunities in the community while receiving the individualized support they need.

💛 Support Love On Your Back

Helping Bonsall Students in Need

Love On Your Back was founded by longtime Bonsall teacher Carol Wood, who served the

Bonsall Unified School District for 32 years. Upon retiring, Carol and a team of dedicated

volunteers launched this nonprofit organization to ensure that no child in our community goes

hungry.

The Love On Your Back Nutritional Backpack Program provides weekend food support for

Bonsall students whose families are facing financial hardship or crisis. Many of these students

rely on free or reduced-price meals during the school week, and this program bridges the gap

by sending home nutritious food to help families through the weekend. Currently we support 153

children in our program.

Our mission is simple but vital: to ensure every child in the Bonsall Unified School District

has the nourishment they need to learn, grow, and thrive.

Unfortunately, with food prices on the rise and limited supplies available from local food banks,

our funds are running low. We are reaching out to our community for help to keep this important

program going.

💛 How You Can Help:

● Make a monetary donation via Venmo: @LoveOnYourBack

● Or send a check to:

Love On Your Back

3597 Kellington Court

Oceanside, CA 92056

We also welcome corporate sponsorships, and we are happy to provide tax-deductible

donation receipts upon request. For more information about our program visit loyb.weebly.com

Together, we can make sure that no child in Bonsall goes hungry.

Thank you for your generosity and support!
