PSO Business:
PSO General Meeting: 10/10/23
Please join us for our next PSO General meeting on Tuesday, October 10th at 6pm. We will hold the meeting in the Art Rutkin Elementary Library. Thank you again to all of you that joined our first PSO meeting on September 12th. If you missed that meeting, you may review the meeting minutes here.
PSO Executive Board
We have officially filled ALL of the PSO Executive Board positions. Welcome Todd Underwood (Vice President), Kristin Underwood (Secretary), and Stacy Donin (Secretary). Check out the website to learn more about the Executive Board.
PSO Volunteers and Committee Chairs
We would like to welcome and thank the following Committee Chairs:
- Mercedes Hernandez: Community Events/Dine Out Coordinator
- Leah Baldwin: Art Literature Coordinator
- Jill Roberts: Teacher Appreciation Chair
- Rob and Jenny Polivka: OBOB Co-Chairs
- Kristin Underwood: Bingo Night Chair
We are still looking to fill many chair positions, see the list of openings here. If you are interested in any form of volunteering, please complete the survey.
PSO Event Reminders:
- Spirit Week: Spirit week is in full swing! See the theme schedule below in our PSO Events section and keep sporting your school spirit!
- Fun Run: Come cheer your students on at the Fun Run this Friday!! We are also still accepting pledges and volunteers, so please check out the PSO Events section below for the Fun Run schedule and important event details.
- International Walk and Roll to School Day: Art Rutkin Elementary is joining the City of Tigard in walking and rolling to school on Wednesday, October 4th. We hope to see you there!
- Fundraiser at Hops n Drops Sherwood: Stop by Hops n Drops on Wednesday, October 18th and mention our school. 20% of sales will benefit Art Rutkin Elementary.

Fun Run: 9/29/23
The Fun Run is Friday, September 29th! Here are a few important notes regarding the event:
- A few volunteers are still needed to support Kindergarten runners, if interested please add your name to the volunteer list and the PSO will assign you a duty. Volunteers, please sign in on the volunteer computer so that your time is accounted for.
- Parents are welcome to watch their students run. Spectators, please check in at the visitor sign in station the day of the race.
- Fun Run Schedule:
- Kinder/1st Grade - 8:30-9:00am
- 2nd/3rd Grade - 9:15-9:45am
- 4th/5th Grade - 10:00-10:30am
- Fundraising will continue for one week after the race, so there's still time to return pledge packets and/or pledge online! To pledge online please follow the instructions below:
- Register: login to your parent dashboard here at getmovinfundhub.com
- Use School Identifier: 64f338cfc5d68
- Complete the student page: You have complete control for what student information is or is not visible on the page.
- Make an online donation: using the red "Donate" button.
- Share the student page: send the link to friends and family via text message, E-mail, or social media.

Families, don't forget to participate in this fun event! Walk or ride to school and be sure to check in with Ms. Biggs in front of the school.

Family Dine Out: Stickmen Brewing Company on Tuesday 11/14/23
- Come enjoy a night out at Stickmen's and 10% of all sales will benefit the Art Rutkin PSO!
Poinsettia Vouchers from Al's Garden & Home Center
