The Power of Progress
As an educational institution, we always keep in mind that progress, not perfection, is our goal in every interaction.
To that end, all Tiger students will bring home their first progress report on Friday, October 9. The report itself is general and is intended to serve as a starting point for deeper discussions at parent/teacher conferences the following week.
This Wednesday, September 23, every Tiger family will receive an email from your child's teacher inviting you to sign-up online for a parent-teacher conference, most of which will be held during the week of October 12-16. Please look for that email in your inbox and sign-up early for a spot that works best with your schedule. Parent-teacher conferences will be held in person. If an in-person conference is not possible, parents/guardians may request a virtual conference to ensure they are able to participate.
We look forward to these "points of progress" discussions with you throughout the school year. It is in our working together, one step at a time, that we will help our students and our community realize great gains.
Warmly,
Mr. Lynch

Part Time Job Opportunities for the 2026-2027 School Year
Wildwood is currently seeking candidates for the following part-time positions for the 2026-2027 school year.
Campus Supervisor
Approximately 1.5 hours per week
Parents spoke, and we listened! In last May’s school survey, families shared concerns about supervision during dismissal at the Arboles driveway pick-up area. We would like to add a dedicated Campus Supervisor to provide greater supervision and help keep students safe during this busy time.
Hours:
- Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday: 2:35–2:50 PM
- Tuesday: 1:20–1:35 PM
If you or someone you know is interested in this part-time paid position, please contact the Wildwood front office for more information!
Academic Specialist
12-15 hours per week
Wildwood is seeking 1 certificated teacher to serve as an Academic Specialist - a paid opportunity to make a meaningful impact beyond the classroom. Academic Specialists support targeted student learning, collaborate with teachers to strengthen instruction, and help ensure all students receive the support they need to thrive. Their work is essential in bridging gaps, enriching learning, and building staff capacity. Training available.
If you or someone you know holds a valid teaching credential and is passionate about supporting student success schoolwide, we’d love to connect! Please reach out to the office or Mr. Lynch for more information.

Attendance
Short-Term Independent Study (STIS)
Regular school attendance is one of the most important factors in a child's academic success, and we encourage families to schedule vacations and other non-essential travel during school breaks whenever possible.
If your child will have a planned absence of 1–15 consecutive school days, please contact both your child's teacher and the front office as soon as your plans are known to request a Short-Term Independent Study (STIS) agreement. Please do not wait until the day before or only a day or two before your child's absence. Teachers need adequate time to prepare instructional materials, and the office must complete the required paperwork before your child's absence begins.
Thank you for helping us ensure your child remains connected to learning while minimizing disruptions to the instructional program. If you have any questions about STIS, please contact the Wildwood front office.
