As we bring the month of November to a conclusion, we would like to express our gratitude for each of you. Fremd is a better place to be because of what you all do to make it feel like a home.

• To those that have been a part of our fall athletics and activities - THANK YOU for getting involved!
• For those that have graced the FHS stage with their acting, props, lighting, sound, and musical expertise - THANK YOU for lending us your talents!
• To those that are newly involved in our winter sports, activities, stage productions - THANK YOU for getting involved and GOOD LUCK THIS SEASON!
• To those of you waiting for your spring sports/activities to begin - THANK YOU for looking ahead!

If you haven't yet found your connection to FHS, we encourage you to check out our clubs and activities! There's a space for everyone to get involved here at FHS. We hope you enjoy your extended weekend and few days of much needed rest! We are looking forward to a final few weeks of the semester upon our return on Monday December 2.

WRITERS WEEK 31 STUDENT APPLICATIONS are now available! You can find the Google Form HERE! The application window will close on Friday, December 13 at 11:59 pm.

Now is the time to start planning out the last four weeks of the semester! Teachers in all classes will be reviewing key dates with their students this week, including dates for tests, quizzes, and projects as well as information about final exams. Students will have access to this PDF that can be edited within Notability for all of their classes. The organizer contains information about the final exam schedule, transportation changes, extended library hours, study tips, and more!

Library Hours

The library will have extended hours (3:00pm-8:00pm) during the week PRIOR to final exams (December 9-December 12). The tutor availability schedule is still being finalized.

Frequently Asked Questions:

• Can I change my final exam schedule or move a test?
• Changes will only be made for students with 3 exams on one day
• Please see your administrator/the Intervention Office BEOFRE Friday December 6 to complete a formal request.
• What classes do not take finals?
• Wellness classes, certain lab or specific independent study courses
• You do not need to check in to wellness, study hall or lunch
• If I don't have a class during the last final exam period of the day may I leave school before the 12:20 dismissal?
• Yes. For those taking the bus, the bus schedule is outlined in the image below.
• May I drive to school during finals?
• Only cars with valid semester 1 parking passes will be allowed to park in the lot during final exams.
• What if I miss a final due to illness?
• Test make-up will be open during winter break. All exams should be made up prior to the start of second semester.

Monday, Nov. 25 the English Department will be having a Writers Week fundraiser at the Dave & Buster’s in Streets of Woodfield from 5-8pm. 20% of all food, non-alcoholic beverages, and gameplay will go toward Writers Week! If you plan to attend, buy your power cards in advance through the link because Writers Week gets a bigger percentage of those sales.

Now through December 20th, purchase a Dave & Buster’s power card which can be used at any D&B location, at any time, and Writers Week will receive 50% of all the power cards sold.

• Click this link to buy Dave & Buster’s power cards which are used for gameplay. These not only work for the night of the fundraiser but also at any other time moving forward. Power cards make great gifts for any upcoming holiday or other outings!

Fremd will be hosting their Annual STUDENT & Staff Blood Drive on Tuesday, November 26th. Students, 16 years of age and older, can donate during their lunch, study hall, and during PE. If students are 16, they will need to have a permission slip filled out and signed by a parent. If students have any questions, please contact Student Council at fhsstudentcouncil@d211.org.
