Construction Update
Good afternoon WBS families,
Greetings from the office! I wanted to take this opportunity to update you on our construction project. As we move through the phasing plans, we are constantly making positive changes and updates as we proceed. We currently have four classrooms, offices, and small group meeting spaces under construction and nearing completion in our primary hallway. We are hopeful that we will have those spaces turned back over to us by the beginning of the year. The next phase of our plan will require some classrooms to relocate in the building. As we get confirmation on those dates, I will share them with you.
In the meantime, I wanted to share some drone footage of our new addition. This picture can be found below. It give us a nice sense of the scope of the project and how it will change the flow of our school.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate this amazing project. We know there will be some bumps along the way, but we are so excited to know that at the end our school will be a wonderful place for our whole school community to learn and grow.
Have a wonderful week and Thanksgiving holiday with your family and friends,
Mrs. Hadfield, Principal
Conferences
November brings an opportunity for us to connect with you during parent teacher conferences. We look forward to sharing your child's progress with you in all areas of their school day. Please be sure to schedule a conference with your child's classroom teacher. Parent/Teacher conferences will take place during the following days and times:
- Monday 11/24 - 8:30-3:00
- Tuesday 11/25 - 8:30-3:00
- Wednesday 11/26 - 8:30-10:30
Please reach out to your child's classroom teacher if you have not scheduled your conference. Thank you for your partnership in this process. We couldn't do it without you!
Veterans Day
Fourth graders at West Broad Street hosted a special assembly to honor our veterans. Students had the opportunity to interview veterans who are friends, family members, and community heroes to learn about their service and sacrifice for our country. It was a meaningful way to show gratitude and connect with those who have served. ❤️💙🤍
