As the Summer Break has just begun, I hope you and your family are enjoying some much deserved time away from school!
I am writing to invite your son into our football program at Union County High School! High School football is a tremendous opportunity for young men to learn life lessons that deal with hard work, sacrifice, commitment and teamwork. As I tell my players often, football is a finite game. You will always be able to pick up a golf club, swing a softball bat in a rec league, or run a pickup game of basketball on the weekend, but this sport offers only a limited amount of time to compete. Many never get a chance to put pads on after high school, and it is over.
With open arms I am strongly inviting your son to our skills workouts in the months of June and July! We will meet at the high school practice field at 6:30PM and conclude at 9PM. The schedule is attached and offers a plentiful amount of time for the boys to enjoy their well deserved summer.
If you have any concerns about work, sport, 4H etc commitments, I am very flexible and can work with your son to make sure he can be successful. This year the TEC has also allowed athletes to compete in multiple sports during the same season. If you are in another sport but still would like to also scratch your football itch, we have a spot for EVERYONE! We will find a job for you.
