The Sheiko Weekly Update
Sheiko Elementary: March 6, 2026
PRINCIPAL UPDATE
Dear Sheiko Families,
Thank you for such a great week of learning! A special thank you to all of the students who have been joining me to read Frindle. We have had a blast reading together, and it has been wonderful to see students encouraging their friends to join in as well! Another fantastic event to share is that Mr. Wilson's Academic Games team is competing at states this weekend! We will have more of an update in next week's S'more.
This week’s big announcement is about Multicultural Night. We cannot wait to see you on March 13 from 6–8 p.m. We will have food, families dressed in traditional clothing, Nigerian drumming, martial arts, games, and more. Each classroom is also creating a tri-fold board to teach you about a country they are studying. You will not want to miss this special evening celebrating our community.
Have a wonderful weekend!
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Lakers!

DIGITAL CITIZENSHIP
It has come to our attention that there are group messages occurring among many 5th grade students. Other grades have lots of "chatting" going on during video games that is becoming very hurtful and spilling over into school friendships. Here are other resources as well: https://www.commonsense.org/education/family-resources
Thank you for partnering with us to keep everyone safe online!
Digital citizenship is a great topic to talk about at home. Here is one resource from Common Sense Media:
