Classroom Supply Lists
Grade level supply list recommendations can be found here. As always, the items listed are recommended materials, not required materials.
Free Breakfast and Lunch for Students
The Quakertown Community School District is now a full Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) district, and therefore, all students, K-12, qualify to receive free breakfast and lunch meals at school. Online/paper applications are no longer required to be processed for meal eligibility. Families that have been directly certified by the state will receive an email notification to file for their records.
Please note, this does not include a la carte items or second meals -- students would need funds in their cafeteria accounts for these types of purchases.
If your students have funds available in their cafeteria accounts and will not be purchasing a la carte items or second meals during the 2025-2026 school year, a parent/guardian on file in PowerSchool may request a refund. Please email sreiss@qcsd.org with each student's name, grade and mailing address for confirmation. Checks will only be made payable to a parent/guardian on file in PowerSchool. Please allow 3-4 weeks for processing the refund from the time of request.
If you have additional questions or concerns, please email the Business Office secretary at sreiss@qcsd.org.

Transportation Schedules - Levy Bus Company
The Levy Bus Company sent out bus letters this week. Please review that information carefully so you and your child are ready for the first day of school.
If you need to update your bus transportation to or from a Day Care Location, complete this form. **This form was required to be completed by August 11th in order for this change to take effect prior to the first day of school.**
If you want your student assigned as a Car Rider for afternoon dismissal permanently during the ‘25-’26 school year, you must complete this form. This form is only for afternoon dismissal at Neidig, and must be completed each school year. You may drop your student off in the morning without notifying us. Completing this form does not remove bus access for your student.
If you do not plan to use the bus at all (morning or afternoon for the entirety of the school year) and wish to opt out of all bus transportation entirely, please contact brenninger@qcsd.org. You must still complete the Car Rider Form above.
Kindergarten Parents: An adult is required to meet all Kindergarten students at the bus stop. If an adult other than Parent/Guardian will be receiving your student, or if they will be allowed to exit the bus with siblings, you must complete this form and submit it to brenninger@qcsd.org.

Emergency Dismissal
It may be necessary during the year to close school for an early dismissal due to weather conditions or other emergency reasons. It is important for all families to have a clear plan should these events occur.
To assist all students during these emergency closings, an Emergency Dismissal Backup Plan must be completed by all families. Complete your student’s emergency dismissal information here o en español aquí.

RIASEC
Career Language Integration - RIASEC
Last fall, the district began an exciting new journey guided by education career development advisor Ed Hidalgo.
This process encourages K-12 students to explore their unique strengths, interests, and values and connect them to careers aligned to those qualities. Career Language Integration (CLI) utilizes John Holland’s RIASEC model to foster self-discovery and career curiosity among students. Through hands-on learning experiences and a collaborative environment, we hope to empower our students to connect their education with future career possibilities!
