Message for the Week:
Message from Mr. Tejkl
Time and Patience...
Good morning!
Happy Easter to all of you! I hope you are able to enjoy your break while being with family, loved ones, friends, or perhaps alone. Either way, I hope you are doing what you want to do, even if it was for 30 minutes!
I was reflecting with another colleague and we were discussing on where the time has gone. We also laughed with some of the days if we actually accomplished tasks that were on our sticky notes to accomplish (of course we accomplish items but they are ones that seemed to pop up and consecutively). It happens in all of our lives as "life" happens. That is why flexibility is an essential skill that is continuously learned and tested.
Along with flexibility, I love the quote this week that the two most powerful warriors are patience and time. Patience is a dying thing it seems like as we progress through the technical advances that we have in our world. We are in an "instant" answer or gratification mentality because we can find answers in under a second. With that, we are losing the patience of finding answers, finding peace, and/or being able to let time pass when decisions loom. Time is also a reminder that we are not in control of how life goes and that at some point, our number will be up or an opportunity will past.
When it is all said and done, it comes down to how do you feel that you did each day and did you put in the time needed to reach your potential? The thought process is that you have to be drained at the end of the day to show that you gave it your all. It is not necessary to feel the "drained" at the day but how about we go for the feeling of accomplished instead? I think of my mom and dad when it comes to putting in hard days work from sun up to sun down. We have many individuals who do this day in and day out but we also have many individuals who put in days that can be from 9-5 (or insert any work time that you do). Whether you are an adult, a student, or somewhere in between, we all have the illusion of "time". As you have probably noticed as you continue to grow older, time goes by fast.
Patience and Time...don't let these valuable skills slip.
Have a great rest of your Sunday and I will see you on Tuesday!
Quote of the week to reflect on:
"The two most powerful warriors are patience and time."

Tucker Tejkl
