Every child. Every day. Every child. Every day.

On Friday, we sent all of our students off to the next grade level! Our fabulous fifth graders have completed their journey at Lincoln and will head off to Upton Middle School. We will miss them greatly but look forward to hearing about all of their accomplishments as they continue to learn, grow, and become all they can be in life. For the remainder of our students, we can't wait to see you next school year!

On behalf of the entire Lincoln Staff, we thank our families for trusting us with your students each and every day. We appreciate your partnership, and we hope that your students have enjoyed learning at Lincoln School.

Remember, Lincoln School will be shut down for the summer. We will return to newly carpeted classrooms, new LED lighting, and AIR CONDITIONING!!! Teacher letters, along with all of the important information regarding the ice cream social and dates for the year, will arrive at your home on or around August 11, 2023.

Encourage your students to complete the summer learning challenge! We want to keep up with all of those skills that your student has worked so hard to gain this year! Let's go Lincoln Scholars!

We look forward to the start of the 2023 - 2024 school year!

2022 - 2023 Principal Award Winner!

Congratulations to Sydelle Wright, who was the winner of the Principal's Award this year. The Principal's Award is awarded to a student who exemplifies the qualities the Lincoln Staff is consistently working to cultivate in students--someone who leads by example and goes the extra mile to make our school a better place by serving others.

Congratulations, Sydelle! Thank you for supporting your classmates through your years at Lincoln

2022 - 2023 Lincoln Citizenship Award Winner

Congratulations to Owen Hudak, who was the winner of our Lincoln Citizenship Award this year. Students in each of our fifth-grade classrooms are asked to identify outstanding citizens among them. An outstanding citizen is a student who demonstrates our P2 Character strengths each day by treating others with respect and acting responsibly. This award is voted on by the 5th-grade students. Thank you to Owen for always being someone that his classmates could count on, even during difficult times. We wish Owen the best as he heads off to Upton Middle School! Congratulations, Owen!

Congratulations to Everett Yeske!

Everett was the winner of our Honor Credit Union end-of-year drawing. All students that made a deposit through the year were entered into the drawing. Everett had the choice of a $250 deposit or a new iPad. He has selected the iPad and will receive it soon! Thank you to all that supported the Lincoln Bear Student Credit Union this year and a special thank you to Honor Credit Union!

Online Student Programs

Student online programs such as IXL and Lexia will be available until August 13th. Beginning on August 14th, student information will begin being rolled over into the next school year. Enjoy these programs for student learning through the 13th of August, though!

Lincoln is Closed for Construction

Although Lincoln is closed, Mrs. Eichberg and Mrs. Karlsen will have an office space set up at the high school. If you need anything in the next two weeks, please feel free to reach out by email or call 926-3700 (our regular Lincoln phone number). We will be answering the phones during those times. Office staff will return two weeks before school begins in an alternate location. Again, the regular phone line will be answered during those two weeks before school.

Equity is important to us. Because of this, please remember that teacher requests are not accepted. Equity is important to us. Because of this, please remember that teacher requests are not accepted.

SUMMER LEARNING CHALLENGE

Our Lincoln students have worked hard all year to gain new skills. They have become better readers, better writers, and better mathematicians. Let's not throw away that hard work--join our summer learning challenge! This is a great way to have fun AND maintain the skills that were gained over the school year.

Complete a few or complete a LOT--anything will work! If the form is returned to school in the fall, your student can join in a celebration. Paper copies of the Summer Learning Challenge will come home with your student(s) on Wednesday. Be sure to get them out of backpacks!

Get your copy of The Summer Learning Challenge Here if you need an extra copy!

Robotics

Hello Families!

We are thrilled to announce that Fall Robotics is back at SJPS, offering K-5th-grade students the opportunity to participate in the exhilarating FIRST LEGO League (FLL) Robotics program. The previous season, 2022-2023, surpassed our expectations with remarkable participation and outstanding achievements (including four Challenge (4th-5th grade) teams qualifying for the State Championship).

If you would like to stay updated on program information, meetings, and signups, we kindly request you to complete this form. In July, an email will be sent out with details about the August informational meetings and what to expect during the Fall Season. Following these meetings, sign-ups will take place to ensure that everyone has a comprehensive understanding of the program before making a commitment.

We are incredibly excited about the enhancements we have made to the program, and we eagerly anticipate another fantastic opportunity for the students of SJPS.

Thank you for your support and enthusiasm. We look forward to a successful season ahead!

Best regards,

Morgan Brunsting
