Dear Bellview Community,

Thank you for creating another wonderful year for our kids. Making memories is a lot of work - the invested time, the planning, participating in these events and activities, on top of work and family commitments, can be a juggling act. But it's worth it: these joyful memories are priceless, and will stay with our kids for a lifetime (and we hope you had fun in the process).

We hope you and your families have a relaxing, fun filled summer break, and we look forward to seeing you again in September. And for those graduating families - please keep in touch, and good luck in your next life chapter.

Kindly,

Susie, Kristen and Lia
2024-25 PTO Board.

Get Involved in 2025/26!

The PTO is a parent-led organization that supports the Bellview school community, teachers and families with community building events and activities. These initiatives are coordinated by grown ups, parents and loved ones with the sole purpose to enhance the experience for the students attending Bellview.

There are a few volunteer openings coming up at the start of the 2025 school year. There are options for all schedules, from short-term tasks to committee roles. Please contact the PTO if you are interested or would like to learn more. The positions are: Treasurer (PTO Board), Events Coordinator, Carnival Coordinator and Book Fair Host.

Changes for the 2025-26 School Year Changes for the 2025-26 School Year

As you are most likely aware, we have been experiencing declining enrollment in our district since the pandemic. As we look ahead to next year, we will be losing one teaching position at Bellview. Thankfully, since we had a retirement this year, no teachers lost a job! In addition to this, our cohort sizes between grades are quite uneven. To best serve our students next year and keep class sizes consistent, we will be implementing blended classrooms in the 2-3 grade band and the 4-5 grade band.

Teachers in the blended grades will be team teaching and doing some subject area specialization, so students will get to have all of the teachers in the grade band for part of their instructional day, in addition to their homeroom class. Here are the teaching assignments for the 2025-26 school year:

Kindergarten: Ms. Lawrence and Ms. Nash

First Grade: Mrs. Gayton and Ms. Eddington

Second/Third Grade: Mrs. Gates, Ms. McAlvage, Mr. Carnes

Fourth/Fifth Grade: Ms. Preskenis, Mr. Schmeling, Mrs. Tejada

You will receive an email from your student's homeroom teacher the week of August 18th, toward the end of the week.
