Summer 4-H video workshop: Become a filmmaker

Youth in grades 8+ are invited to join us Aug. 6-8 on the UMN St. Paul Campus and Minnesota State Fairgrounds for this exciting opportunity to work with other 4-H’ers who love filmmaking! The in person, overnight workshop will be preceded by three 1-hour virtual learning sessions. You’ll learn how to use video equipment, develop a storyboard, and practice skills using lighting, sound, and editing—all while creating a short narrative video. The program will culminate in a film festival with youth films taking center stage in the 4-H Building during the Minnesota State Fair. Generous donors to the 4-H video project allow the cost to be kept low for this program—cost is $100 (Scholarships may be available from your local county 4-H program).
