Meet Ms. Weipert
I am very excited to be beginning my third year as a South Holt Knight! I grew up on a farm east of St. Joseph and plan on moving back to the farm by late spring. I look forward to hearing the sounds of cows, horses, birds, and even coyotes! I retired after a total of 29 years in education, 18 of those as a School Counselor. I continue to learn by attending a variety of professional development opportunities to stay current with research and evidence based practices that benefit students, teachers, and families!
About Me:
- As a teacher, I taught 4th, 7th and 8th grade students.
- I love working alongside teachers and parents to help students!
- Something I'm excited to share with students this year is the Career Trek Program!

Counseling Classroom Lessons
Safety Procedures
Students will learn how to handle a lockdown and evacuation situation. I will use the book I'm Not Scared...I'm Prepared! by Julia Cook. In this book, the teacher at Ant Hill School uses the words Shepherd (Teacher/Staff Member), Sheep (Student), and Wolf (Dangerous Person) to help students know what to do in that type of situation.
Character Education
Each Month we will focus on a specific character trait! In September, we will talk about what respect looks/sounds/feels like (emotion). A student from each classroom will be recognized for displaying the trait.
Second Step Lessons
Be on the lookout for Second Step Home Link Activity pages! Each page has a reinforcement activity you can do with your child. Sign it and have your child return it to school. Your child will select a prize from my treasure chest!
