This Week at Waters - May 29

Waters Families,

We are hoping to create hand signals for each of our new schoolwide norms. The hand signals will be used as non-verbal cues to help reinforce the norms on a daily basis. If you are adept at American Sign Language or have experience creating something similar, please send an email to parutkowski@cps.edu.

Members of the Waters Class of '22 Returned to Lead the Way

DeVry University Advantage Academy High School is an innovative program that started in July 2004. It is a two year program for students entering their junior year that allows students to graduate with a CPS high school diploma and an associate degree in Network Systems Administration or Business.

To be eligible to apply to the DeVry University Advantage Academy High School applicants must:

• Be a current sophomore
• Be a resident of Chicago at time of enrollment
• Have and maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5-4.0
• Have a high attendance rate of at least 90%
• Successfully pass the DeVry University Entrance Exam

Courses are taught by certified CPS teachers and industry-experienced DeVry University professors at DeVry University’s Chicago campus located at 1900 W. Lawrence Ave. University tuition, books and technology fees are paid for by the DeVry University/Chicago Public Schools partnership and come at no cost to students.

Enrollment for next year's kindergarten is open. Please check the Enrollment page before coming to the office to pickup an enrollment packet.

"Get Ready for Kindergarten" is this coming Wednesday, May 27 starting at 3:45 PM. Parents will get a chance to learn about Waters, see classrooms and meet teachers. Incoming kindergartners are invited to attend.

All remaining items left in the Lost & Found after Friday, June 5 will be donated.
