News from Dr. E
Happy February!
February is known as the month of LOVE. 💙🩶💙 I thought I would make a list of ways that I love Jefferson!
- TEACHERS - Our teachers are dedicated and committed to your child's growth. They do daily planning for each subject level or grade level they serve. The plans are based on district's adopted curriculum and learning plans. They are also addressing individual needs of intervention and enrichment for each student. That is the focus of the day but there is also daily management of the classroom and students. Whew!
- PARAEDUCATORS - I love our paraeducators because they step in wherever students and teachers need them most. They provide targeted support, encouragement, and care that helps students access learning and build confidence each day. Their flexibility, patience, and heart make a powerful difference for kids and classrooms. Several of our paras are on the path to becoming teachers.
- OFFICE STAFF - I love our office staff because they are the heartbeat of our school. They keep everything running smoothly while welcoming students, families, and staff with kindness, professionalism, and calm—even on the busiest days. From health needs to logistics to last-minute surprises, they handle it all with grace.
- CUSTODIAL STAFF - I love our custodial staff because they take pride in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for learning. They work behind the scenes and after hours to ensure our building is ready for students and staff each day. Their dedication helps our school shine—literally and figuratively.
- LUNCH LADIES - I love our lunch staff because they nourish both bodies and spirits. They work hard every day to provide meals, smiles, and a sense of routine and care for our students. Their warmth and consistency make lunchtime a positive part of the school day.
- PARENTS (YOU!!) - I love our parents because they are our partners in learning and growth. They support their children at home, communicate with staff, and work with us to help every student succeed. Their trust, involvement, and encouragement make a meaningful difference in our school community every single day.
Who would you include on your list that you love? It does take a village to raise our children.
Educationally,
Dr. Tami Eshleman
