Up next, the 6th grade is looking forward to their upcoming bowling trip.

This program was designed to recognize the state’s many fine teachers. By acknowledging teachers’ achievements, this annual program aims to help increase the stature of teaching, attract talented people to teaching careers, and encourage experienced teachers to remain in the profession.
Teachers selected for the program will receive a certificate of commendation, as well as the opportunity to network with other outstanding teachers.
On behalf of the Bergen County Teacher/Educational Services Professionals Recognition Committee, I would like to invite you to participate in this year’s program. The committee will use your nominations as part of their selection process.

A Look Back
On Tuesday, March 4th and Wednesday, March 5th, seventh grade students and staff visited the Holocaust Museum & Center for Tolerance and Education at Rockland Community College in Suffern, NY. Students participated in moral courage workshops, museum scavenger hunts, and heard from two Holocaust survivors, Trudy Album and Miriam Edelstein. While Ms. Album spoke about her time in a concentration camp, Ms. Edelstein recalled what life was like on the run. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience being able to learn firsthand about the Holocaust: the victims, the perpetrators, the bystanders and the Righteous Among the Nations.
