Dear Coyote Families,
Welcome to 2nd Semester! We were so excited to have all the students back on Wednesday to begin 2026 strong!
Here is some important information for you to be aware of:
- Our Entry Shield Metal Detectors have been adjusted and are now more sensitive. Items such as glasses cases, keys, cell phones, umbrellas, binders, bento boxes, metal water bottles, and scissors are consistently activating them. When you enter, please divest all items such as these and remind your student to do as as well before coming through the detectors.
- Weather continues to change. Make sure students come to school dressed in appropriate and dress code approved clothing daily.
- We will have awards assemblies for 1st grade through 5th grade as invite only the last week in January. In May, there will be a second awards assembly for kinder through 5th grade students where all families will be invited.
- 3rd through 5th grade students will have a STAAR simulation test on February 3. Please make sure your student is as school on time and well rested to do their best!
- February 4 is a 100% attendance day. Please do your best to make sure we have all students present to celebrate!
- We will be doing all our semester safety drills the end of January. Be on the look-out for a note home regarding our semester safety drills.
Thank you for your continued support and understanding as we move into the second semester of school. We could not do what we do without you!
