Principal's Message
Assalam Aleikum!
Dear NISL Families,
We have had a wonderful and busy October, Alhamdulillah! Our “Falling for Fun” Fall Festival was a great success and brought together our students, families, and staff for an evening filled with fun and community spirit. Families enjoyed food, bouncy houses, a bonfire, crafts, cotton candy, games, and more. We thank our staff, students, youth club volunteers, and parents for making this event possible, and a special appreciation goes to Coach Nouna Bouzelmat for leading our annual Fall Festival. Our beloved Barakah the Bee also made an appearance and was loved by all the children!
Next week, our Recycling Kickoff Activities for Grades K–8 will take place on October 23 and 24 as we continue our journey toward becoming a greener school. Students will participate in fun, hands-on learning experiences to understand how to care for Allah’s creation through recycling and sustainability.
We are also looking forward to our Annual Board and Staff Meeting and Recognition Ceremony on Wednesday, October 23. During this special event, we will honor our dedicated employees who have reached 5, 10, 15, and for the first time in NISL history, 20 years of service. We look forward to sharing photos and highlights from this evening in our next newsletter, inshaAllah.
A reminder that PTO Dress Down Day is coming up on Monday, October 27. Students may bring $2 to participate.
As Quarter 1 comes to a close, teachers are finalizing grades, and report cards will be released next week, inshaAllah.
Please take a moment to review our October and November Calendar of Events to stay informed about upcoming activities and school events.
Let’s continue to Bee Responsible, Bee Respectful, and Bee Your Best!
Sincerely,
Aisha Blagaia
