A Message from Principal Price
Dear Lemon Crest Families,
We are so proud of our Lemon Crest Lions!
Week 2 brought a few surprises: a power outage on Tuesday and a rainy dismissal on Thursday, but our students showed incredible flexibility, patience, and positive attitudes. They truly ROARed through the unexpected, and we're so proud of how they
A big thank-you to our families as well for your patience and flexibility during those changes. Your support helps keep everything running smoothly for our kids. I know that these first few weeks of school can be a refresh or brand new for our returning or new families, and we appreciate your support and understanding as we all adjust to the year!
Just a reminder that there is no school on Monday for Labor Day!
As we move into our third week together, we are excited to see students continue making great choices, building friendships, and learning their school and classroom routines. Thank you for helping our students start the year strong!
Take care,
Jen Price

- This coming week will be the last week that our TK and Kindergarten students are dropped off at the MPR for morning arrival. Please help prepare your child for week 4 (September 8-12) by letting them know if they'll be dropped off at the walking gate or at car drop-off.
Welcome to the school counselor corner! Check back here every week for information about supporting your child’s mental health and socialemotional well-being. This week, I am sharing a link to the Lakeside Mental Health Resources brochure, which includes an abundance of resources for community support, crisis support, and school counseling support. Hard copies of this brochure are available in the office. Please reach out to Ms. Teresa if you have any questions or would like support with accessing these services.

Contacting Teachers & Principal Price
If you have a question or concern about your child, we encourage you to speak with your child's teacher first. Please note that during the instructional day, teachers and staff may not be able to respond to your message, email or call since they are busy doing what they do best: teaching! Your child's teacher will respond to you when they are able. Thank you for understanding!
Contacting Principal Price:
Email: jprice@lsusd.net
Call the Front Office: (619) 390-2527 - The front office staff will take a message, and Principal Price will call you when she is available
In-Person: Call the office so Mrs. Whitehurst or Ms. Madina can help us set up a meeting so I can dedicate time to you!
Many of your questions may be answered in our Lemon Crest Family Handbook A-Z . We ask that all families read this.
Please know that there is a 24-48 hour "grace period" in my response time. When I respond, call or meet with you, I need time to get informed in order to have possible answers to your questions. I am prioritizing getting to know our students so I can support their success and am often not readily available in the office. Thank you for your understanding and support.
Theme for the Year: Planting Possibility
This year, our school's theme is Planting Possibility, inspired by the children's book, Curious Garden, written by Peter Brown. Click the link below for a read-aloud of the book by Principal Price!
