Pediatric Cancer Awareness Week.... Pediatric Cancer Awareness Week....

Hello, Crossroads students and families! As sunrise creeps earlier and earlier as fall approaches, please be extra cautious at the morning drop off. This is only the beginning of the darker mornings and the shorter amounts of daylight. Our student safety is a job for all of us and your help in looking twice is important to ensure all of our students arrive to our building safely. For after school pickup, please pull into a parking spot if you are waiting for your child who is not one of the first ones out the door. We all have a variety of places to be so it is important to not block the two lanes of traffic.

Next week we are celebrating Friday's Black-Out football game with a Cancer Awareness Week. Each day has a different dress up theme to celebrate our young heroes that our community event supports. As a reminder, we still have Black-Out t-shirts available in our main office. The cost is $10 for short sleeve and $20 for long sleeve. We can accept cash or checks made out to P.O.R.T. We want to flood the stands with black t-shirts and show our unity and support to the Helen DeVos Pediatric Oncology Unit. Feel free to send check or money in with your child to purchase a shirt!

Lastly, our PTC Frandale Sub Sale ends on Monday. Please send in your order forms, as well as your money, to the front office. Thank you to all of you who participated!

Have a great weekend!

E-Sports E-Sports

The Crossroads Esports team's Fall season is just around the corner. We compete against teams from all across the country in:

- Super Smash Bros Ultimate

- Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

- Splatoon 3

- and Rocket League

Last fall, we had a number of teams finish within the top 10 nationally. If you enjoy playing video games, work well with others, and will keep up on your studies to stay academically eligible, then please consider joining the team. There are no cuts - and if you stick with Esports through high school, you might find that it could pay for your college - two seniors on last year's high school team earned full tuition scholarships to play Esports in college. Maybe you'll be next!

All practices and matches will take place in the high school's media center. If students have any questions, please reach out to Coach Lago at MLago@nvps.net

Chromebook Coverage Program 2025-2026 Chromebook Coverage Program 2025-2026

Northview Public Schools issues Chromebooks to all of its students. These devices are traditionally kept at school for grades DK -2, whereas students in grades 3 through 12 often transport their Chromebooks to and from school. As we have rolled out these devices, we have of course encountered issues with breakage, loss, theft, damage, etc. Because we do not want to pass excessive costs back to parents, Northview has decided to provide parents with peace of mind for devices that are under their responsibility. We are happy to announce that we are offering a Chromebook Coverage Plan hosted by Northview Public Schools. The plan costs $25, and covers accidental damage, one free charger replacement if the charger is lost or stolen (chargers are normally $20), as well as covers a Chromebook that has been stolen (this requires a filed police report).

To learn more about the details of this, please read our FAQ’s document to get started.

To purchase Chromebook coverage for your student’s assigned device for the 2025-2026 School Year, click here.

Chromebook coverage is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED at the 5th grade through 8th grade levels. This is where our Technology Department tends to see the most damage to devices.
