Bulldog Bites
Sept. 4, 2026
Dear SGF Families,
Welcome to the 2026-27 school year! We are so excited to welcome our students back on Sept. 9th!
Before the start of the school year, we wanted to share some important information with you.
School Supplies
Once again this year, the South Glens Falls Central School District will be providing all school supplies - with the exception of headphones - for all students in grades UPK-5. Please be aware that any supply lists you may see from big box stores are generated by the stores themselves, and are not created by our district.
Oliver W. Winch Middle school and South High school supply lists were sent with teacher assignments for the year.
Free meals, LINQ Connect and school menus
Every student will receive free breakfast and lunch for the 2026-27 school year.
If you would like to add funds to a meal payment account for your student for other items - such as snacks, ice cream, drinks, and doubles — visit the LINQ Connect website.
School menus are posted on both our SGF App and on our website via our monthly menu page. September menus will appear on Sept. 2.
Photo opt out forms
SGFCSD staff often photograph and film students at school events and activities for promotional purposes. These photos and videos are sometimes posted on the district website and/or featured on SGFCSD social media channels including Facebook, YouTube and Instagram. Confidential information is never shared.
Families who do not wish to have their photographs taken for district social media, building and newsletter purposes need to fill out the Do Not Photograph Request form using the button below.
Please note that the form closes on Sept. 3, 2026. Families who wish to be added to the list after the Sept. 3 form closure, MUST email the Communications Specialist at mcavoyminork@sgfcsd.org to be placed on the list.
*This form is different from the student directory opt out. Those must go through the district office.

SchoolTool
SchoolTool is the online information system the district uses to manage student records, including current address and contact information and the Parent Portal will allow families to view this information, and to contact teachers if necessary. The Parent Portal will show student schedule, attendance, and discipline data. It also shows grades and assignments at the secondary level. Students in middle and high school already have access to SchoolTool to view their assignments and grades.
The account will be automatically for the primary contact attached to each child using the email address currently in the system. If you have multiple children, you will use one account to view all of them. Additional contacts can request a Parent Portal account by filling out this form.
Families who already have a Parent Portal account will not receive an email and no further action is required. Families with a new account will be receiving an email with login and password information in the near future for each child. Once you have successfully logged into your Parent Portal account, please review your child’s information.
Once your account is set up you can go to https://schooltool9.neric.org/SchoolTool_SGFS/ to log in.

Need a new account? Follow these steps:
You must have an email address to register. Each person can only have one email address in the system.
Once you submit the online form, you will receive confirmation and login information from the district.
If you have problems registering for the Parent Portal, please contact the District Data Coordinator, by email at ParentPortal@sgfcsd.org.
