Hermosa School Family Newsletter

Hornet Families,

We had another short week, but it was still a busy week. With no school on Monday we hope everyone enjoyed their last day of Spring Break. Tuesday the track team headed to Custer to compete against other local schools. We again had a bunch of personal records and top performers which can be seen below. On Wednesday the 6th-8th grade students took their final SD State Math Assessment and on Thursday the 3rd-5th grade students took their final SD State Math Assessment. We have a few students who have to finish some make-up assessments next week, but we have almost wrapped up testing season.

The last full week of April is nearly in the books!

Our spring break was delightful, but coming back from break and now having four weeks of school left, motivation can be daunting. How can you help your child end their school year successfully?

We have completed the 2024-2025 South Dakota State Assessment in 3rd - 8th grade! We do have makeup tests to complete next week, as the testing window closes May 1st. We are proud of our students and their hard work. This year, we broke up the tests during April, but it takes a lot out of our students as they focus and give their best effort. Be sure to celebrate their hard work and success!

Have a great weekend!
