eLearning Day - Communuty - 1/23/26
Dear Naperville 203 Students and Families,
Tomorrow, Friday, January 23, 2026, will be an eLearning day for all students due to the dangerously cold weather forecast. Students should log in to their Canvas/Seesaw accounts to access at least five hours of learning opportunities. A decision regarding high school athletics/activities will be communicated by 2:00 pm Friday at the latest.
Rationale for Decision
These decisions are never made lightly, and we consider multiple factors to prioritize the safety of our students and staff, while making every effort to have school in-person when possible. Tomorrow’s closure is due to the National Weather Service issuing an Extreme Cold Warning.
eLearning Expectations
This eLearning day will include both synchronous and asynchronous opportunities. By 9 a.m., educators will post all eLearning materials and schedules for synchronous sessions on their Canvas pages. Teachers will hold:
A morning check-in session to connect with students and answer questions.
Two additional office hours for check-in opportunities throughout the day if needed.
Throughout the day, educators will also be available via Canvas/Seesaw and email to address student needs and inquiries. If you or your student needs technical support throughout the day, please visit Naperville 203’s Tech Support Page.
If your student is unable to participate in asynchronous instruction, guardians should follow the same absent attendance process as a regular school day. Information will be sent separately by Champions and YMCA to those families who have registered for onsite childcare.
We understand the challenges that these closures may create and appreciate your understanding as we prioritize safety.
We will share more updates when possible. Please continue to check the District website and social media channels for further updates.
In Partnership,
Dan Bridges
