Happy Friday DCS families, it is so lovely to look out the windows and see the mounds of snow! Our students love to build forts in the snow, sled, and cross country ski! We really appreciate the efforts to make sure your student has all their needed winter gear! It makes recess and Winter Fun Days so much more fun!

This next week will be a busy one with with budget meetings. There will be a meeting at DCS to discuss the Petitioned Warrant Article on Feb 11th at 6:30 pm. The following evening there will be a Community Forum on Feb 12th at 7pm in the Lucy Hurlin Theater. Please consider attending and learning more about the budget and all the implications.

Have a nice weekend, Nicole

The ConVal School District invites all residents to a Community Forum discussing the budget, collective bargaining agreement, property tax bills, the proposed withdrawal of Dublin and Francestown from the ConVal School District, and a budget cap petition warrant article.

The event will be held on February 12, 2025, at 7:00 PM in the Lucy Hurlin Theatre at ConVal High School. A snow date has been scheduled for February 19, 2025, at 7:00 PM.

We encourage all residents to attend, hear from key speakers, and participate in the discussion on these important topics affecting our community. This event will be live-streamed on the ConVal Events YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/@ConValEvents), and it will be available for viewing anytime after the event.

A message from Pam Murphy, RN DCS School Nurse

Recently, there have been numerous student requests for cough drops. As cough drops are considered medication, I am asking for your help in following the ConVal policy on medication administration at the elementary level. To do this, any medication, including cough drops, must be delivered to the school by a parent/guardian or their designated responsible adult in the original container. A written permission form is also required which is available at DCS.

Please reach out to me at pmurphy@conval.edu if you have any questions.
